Vianney Finalist for Athletic Program of Year

As a cap to a fine year, the Vianney sports program has been named a finalist for large-school Athletic Program of the Year by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The Post noted these Griffin achievements:

- Basketball: 27-2, conference champion, lost to state champ McCluer North in Class 5 quarterfinals
- Baseball: 23-7, conference runner-up
- Soccer: 18-7-2, conference champion
- Football: 4-7, reached Class 5 playoffs
- Volleyball: 23-10
