Vianney March for Life: Students going on the pilgrimage to Washington, DC with Vianney are asked to attend the communion service at Encore today followed by a meeting with Fr. Tim regarding final payments; mtg with your parents, etc.

Friday Eucharistic Adoration: Start the new semester and the new year off right by making a visit to the chapel today for Friday Eucharistic Adoration.

Juniors--The University of Missouri School of Medicine is offering a "Mini Medical School", a one week summer experience for anyone interested in a career in medicine. Students will get hands on experience in anatomy, microbiology and clinical skills. Check out more information on Family Connection or talk with a counselor.

Seniors--The "Student Award Search Aid" website is renewing a scholarship for 2013. The $1000 B. Davis scholarship has a May 27, 2013 deadline. More information is on Family Connection or atwww.studentwardsearch.com/scholarships.

Any swimmers and divers, or those interested in Swimming or diving, who would like to participate in off-season weight training and conditioning should see Coach Alexander in Room 107 by Monday.

There will be an informational and sign up meeting for anyone interested in track and field this spring Friday during encore in room 304.

Attention juniors and seniors: The upcoming ACT course is now full. If you're interested in taking a course this school year, there is still plenty of room in the April and June test prep courses, and you may sign up at any time. See Mr. Meyer in the counseling office for more information.

ALL: Tuesdays, Tuesdays, Tuesdays. Griffin LIFE is moving to Tuesdays this semester. Our first Griffin LIFE meeting will be a planning meeting for leaders only and will take place this coming Tuesday, January 8 from 5:30-7:30.

Bocce guys: a new bocce season begins next Thursday, January 10th. Please let Mr. Kheriaty know if you will be participating in the new season.

Ping Pong Club will resume on Tuesday. Our schedule this semester will remain the same: Tuesdays and Fridays after school in the 200 hallway. All are welcome.

The first Lettermen's Club meeting of the new year will be Monday during Encore in the field house. Please make every effort to attend. Those who have not yet joined are welcome to come and become a member.

Next week is our first round of class meetings for the semester. The schedule is altered just a little. The schedule will go as follows: Tuesday-Seniors, Thursday-Juniors and Friday-Sophomores & Freshmen.

ALL Junior Ambassadors who are not already working for the interview nights on Monday and Tuesday MUST report to Mr. Mulvihill in Admissions at the beginning of Encore this morning. Any Ambassador who received a slip yesterday has any issues with working their event on Monday or Tuesday please report to Mr. Mulvihill by the end of lunch today.

The Robotics Club will be meeting in room 207 after school on Monday (and possibly Tuesday as well) to put the finishing touches on our robot. The focus for the meeting is to brainstorm ideas for developing the retractable robotic arm and to give an update on the upcoming January 20th qualification tournament at Flo Valley.

After dropping their first game in the Meramec tournament to Marquette High School. The varsity basketball rebounded with 3 straight wins over McCluer, Lafayette, and Troy to win the consolation championship and run their record to 10-3 on the season.

If you see Brad Woodson in the hallways, give him a high 5 or a fist bump as Brad became the 10th Vianney basketball player to join the 1000 point club in the victory over Troy. Brad also was only the 9th player in the history of the Meramec Holiday Tournament to be named a three time all-tournament team selection.

On Friday January 11th, the basketball program hosts SLUH in a tripleheader and this evening will be the annual Paint It Pink Game to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society. "Real Griffins Wear Pink" t-shirts are on sale now in the Griffin Gear store. Make plans to buy yours for $10. These sell out FAST! All proceeds go to the Hope Lodge. Also, make plans to wear pink and support the the Griffins on Friday night January 11!
