Friday is a dress-up day for everyone for Mass.

 

Seniors & Juniors:  The Balfour reps will be here today through Friday in the Commons at all lunch shifts.  Seniors they will take your graduation announcements and cap & gown orders today and tomorrow.  EVERY senior must order a cap & gown—there is no cost involved.   Juniors, they will take ring orders Thursday and Friday at lunch and also Thursday evening from 5 to 7 pm.  You should have received a packet in the mail  at home from Balfour in the last day or so. 

 

Millikin University is hosting an overnight stay and campus preview on Sunday-Monday, February 16-17.  Get a first hand look at the University and meet with current students and faculty.  See Mr. Lantz, Mr. Meyer or Mrs. Dombek in the Leadership Center for more information.  Bus seats are limited and are assigned on a first come, first served basis.

 

Attention juniors and sophomores--Next week will begin the registration process for the 2014-15 school year.  You will be meeting individually with your counselor to select classes for next year.  Be thinking about courses that will meet your personal and career goals.  Freshmen will register in February.

 

Art Club will meet during B and C encore periods this semester and after school every regular school day. Activity points available. Everyone is welcome. Come when you can.

 

ALL Paintball Club Members:  Please make plans to attend a meeting Thursday in Room 106 during Encore.  If you have any questions prior, please see Ms. White.  

 

Attention seniors--If your GPA has improved and you have not received an admissions decision from a college, be sure to request your transcript go to that school.  See Ms. Hartz or Mrs. Sodemann with questions.

 

LIFE leaders there will be a meeting today immediately after school in the Campus Ministry office.

Part-time job this upcoming Spring/Summer/Fall: Baseball umpires at Kirkwood Athletic Association and we are hiring umpires for the 2014 season.  We are looking for all levels of experience including those who have no experience at all. The only requirement is that they are at least 13 as of January 1, 2014.  Games are played on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday nights with some occasional weekend games. It is completely based on their availability.  Starting pay is $20/game with no experience and goes up from there. Training will begin in February and the location and times are TBD, however if they email Melissa MacDonald at  macdonald434@gmail.com  for more information and training details.

         
 

Golfers—there will be a pre-season meeting today in 306 after school.

 

Interested in a fun way to get service hours? Volunteer for the Alumni Association Trivia Night.  Saturday January 25 at Vianney from 6:45- 10:30 roughly.  THIS INCLUDES CLEAN UP! See Ms. Walsh if you are interested.  

 

Hockey News:  Friday 1/17 is our SENIOR NIGHT…really cool pre-game celebration, 8 seniors to recognize, Nick Allgeyer, Ben Wingbermuehle, Brendan Shuck, Ryan Spencer, Chris Brown, Nolan Wuesthoff, Felix Unger, and Jack Kemper.  9:30pm game time (need people there by 9:15pm)…another huge rivalry vs. Lindbergh.

 --Monday 1/20, 7pm vs. Chaminade at Kennedy

 --Friday 1/24, 9:30pm vs. DeSmet at Queeny Park
