Special Assembly Schedule tomorrow (no Encore) -- lunches move to last period for the 1:30 assembly with the US Naval Academy Choir.

Seniors: Check out Family Connection for new scholarships that have been posted including the Best Buy scholarship and the AES Engineers Scholarship. Also, scholarships are available for seniors living in the 63026 zip code (Fenton) and for seniors with a parent who is active Guard or Reserve in the Army, has served in the Army, Guard or Reserve, or who currently works for a defense contractor or a defense agency. In honor of the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I have a Dream" speech, the city of Kirkwood's Human Rights Commission is sponsoring an essay contest for all Juniors. If you are interested, please see Mr. Mohr in room 304 as soon as possible.

The Eagle Scout group will meet near the Media Center today during Encore. Those who are Eagle Scouts or on the trail may come. Talk to Bro Andy if you have any questions.

Marianist Heritage Mass: Our next student body mass is on Jan. 22 as we remember Blessed Chaminade, the founder of the Marianists. If anyone wishes to assist in the mass, please see Fr. Tim sometime this week.

Attention track athletes, check out the track board for information on the Big River Running/University of Missouri All-Comers High School Challenge, with qualifying taking place over the next several weekends. Information is also available online through Big River Running website or see Coach Mohr for more details.

Ultimate frisbee will begin next Wednesday, January 23rd, at the lower level football field, by the shotput area. Students who are interested should see Mr Wyss in 205 during Encore or just meet at the field at 3pm and be prepared to play for an hour. Wednesday will be our regular practice days.

Spanish students- If you are, or have been, a Spanish student and you want to brush up on your skills, Mr. Hilliard will be hosting Spanish table in room 301 next Thursday, January 24th during Encore. Come experience various cultural activities and bring your Spanish A-game. This will be a fun, relaxed setting to try your Spanish and be immersed in the language.

Football: all returning freshman, JV and varsity football players should meet in the Chapel at Encore today.

Attention All Robotics Programmers!!! The dynamic duo of Andrew Boston and Jack Lyons has completed the hardware assembly for the robot, and are ready for the LabView programming to begin! Please report to room 207 after school for a "walk-through" on the programming and for more details about the qualification tournament this weekend. ALL team members MUST have a completed "consent and release" form signed before participating in the tournament, see Mr. Prost for more information.

Last night, all levels of the Vianney wrestling program took on CBC in a dual meet. Although Vianney was unable to take home the team win, numerous individuals won their matches. On the varsity level, Zach Medcalf and Liam Studdard pinned their opponents. On the Junior Varsity level, Dan Plogger and Pat McVey won their matches. On the Freshman level, Jack Eisenbarger, Charlie Schott, Michael Tonini, and Austin Bruner all won their matches.

Golf: There will be a meeting for anyone interested in playing golf this year on Thursday, January 24 during Encore in 306.
