Seniors--Check out the St. Louis Graduates scholarship list on Naviance.  There are several scholarships that have upcoming deadlines that you can still apply for.  There can be money for you to help with college expenses.  See your counselor for more information.

 

The MOIHA (Missouri Inline Hockey Association)begins its season with The Tour Breakout Tournament in early March. League play starts in March & runs through the end of April. The season consist of 14 league Games. Playoff-eligible teams will compete for the State Championship in May. Games are played at MidWest in Queeny Park, All-American in S. County and Matteson’s in St Peters

WEDNESDAY THE VARSITY CHESS TEAM DEFEATED VALLEY PARK BY THE SCORE OF 22 TO 8.  DAN OWENSBY, MARSHALL HARNEY, GAGE KRAMER, CONNOR GRZOVIC AND GAVIN HENSEL WON FOR VIANNEY.  THE JUNIOR VARSITY CHESS TEAM DEFEATED THE BELLEVILLE EAST VARSITY TEAM BY THE SCORE OF 16 TO 14.  SAM NELSON, JACOB FARRELL AND ALEX FOLEY WON FOR VIANNEY.

 

Calling all griffins! Are you looking to get involved with Vianney's largest fundraising event? Well the Night of the Griffin Auction and Dinner will soon be here. Volunteers are needed to fill the roles of waiters, spotters, and help with setup and cleanup. Get your choice of service hours or activity points. Sign up today during encore or after school in the Advancement Office or see Mr.Schuermann.

 

Tech Club: Projects continue this week.  Robots, virtual reality, a cell phone charger in an Altoids tin. Stop by and build with us. Tech Center at 2:45 this Friday.

 

Attention all members of Vianney's new Avionics club: Two engineers from Boeing will be here today to discuss the objectives of the competition and to answer questions.  See you all there!

The University of Missouri-Columbia offers several Engineering camps open to students in all grades. More details in the Leadership Center.

 

Attention parents of seniors--Join a representative from the SLU Financial Aid office on Thursday, January 29 at 7 pm in the Media Center.

 

Seniors--Do you have a parent who is currently a member of an active, guard or reserve component of the US Army, The AUSA scholarship program. More details in the Leadership Center.



Seniors interested in engineering--The Missouri Society of Professional Engineers will award $1000 scholarships to students with a 3.0 GPA and an ACT of 29 in Math and 25 in English.

 

The University of Dayton is offering the Marianist Leadership Scholarship of $4000 to students with a  3.0 GPA. More details in the Leadership Center.

 

Optimist International is offering an essay contest and an oratorical contest to compete for scholarships up to $2500.  More details in the Leadership Center.

 

Juniors interested in a career in medicine-- the University of Missouri offers a 'Mini Medical School" which is one week  of experience in the summer.  More details in the Leadership Center.
