Academic World Quest team--Charlie Preiss, Ben Niederer, Spencer Shively & Ben Schrader--please meet in 104 during Encore this morning.

The freshman basketball team beat Lindbergh on Saturday to win the consolation championship of the Vianney Tournament. David Broughton scored the game-winning basket in overtime.

All basketball players, hockey players and wrestlers will celebrate a mass this Wednesday, January 29 at 8:00 a.m. in the Chapel. All students participating in these programs should plan on attending.

Attention all Winter Bocce Players--teams are posted outside Room 107 and play begins this Thursday, Jan 30

Attention Art Club members - tomorrow (Tuesday’s) meeting is cancelled,  Art club will meet again on Thursday at the usual time.

You can play chess at encore today in room 209. Saturday the varsity chess team, led by Derian Ryker, Brandon Stanfield and Alex Young placed fifth in the Clayton Tournament.

Would the following freshman please see Mrs. Treml, the new learning consultant, in the Leadership Center during Encore today: Mario Anderson, Will Hoelscher, Matthew Krobath, Zack Poulsen, and Justin Webb. 

All Freshmen we need more Griffin Guides! The applications and teacher recommendations are due tomorrow! Please pick up a packet, if you haven’t already, from the Admissions Office.  Being a Griffin Guide is a great way to get involved and share your Griffin Pride!

After a tough loss to a highly regarded O’Fallon squad, the Griffins look to get back on the winning track tonight at home vs. Ritenour. Tonight is a triple header with freshman tipping off at 4:00; sophomores at 5:30; and varsity at 7:00. 

Congratulations go out to the Vianney Baseball Program for 2 recognitions they received over the weekend.  Both recognitions were bestowed on them by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper who came out with their High School Pre-Season Preview in their latest edition. First, the Griffins were named to their Pre-Season Top 30 Rankings. CB ranked your Griffins #29 Nationally. They are the only team from Missouri ranked and one of only 3 from the Midwest.  2nd, senior Center Fielder, CJ Cepicky was named to their 1st Team Pre-Season All-American list. CJ is the only one from Missouri on the list and he along with Edwardsville HS Drake Wescott are the only two on the 1st Team from the Metro Area.
