Congratulations to the 18 Vianney art students whose artwork is on display at South County Mall through Saturday, Feb. 3: Karl Bitzer, Adam Boland, CJ Bossert, Zac Brinkley, Jack Burford, Zach Hitzemann, Joe Kelly, Oliver Layher, Dio Li, Max Luna, Luke Miller, Oscar Moran, Matt Mueller, Zach Poelzl, Dan St. Louis, Matt Shannahan, Tyson Siebenman, Nate Thurman.
The exhibit is located on the lower level of the mall near Bath and Body Works. Come see their work and artwork from other schools.
Last Wednesday the varsity chess team defeated the Webster Groves Statesmen by the score of 23.5 to 6.5. Paul Nicholson, Dominic Caputa, Brandon Stanfield, Lucas Mead and Hans Mohr scored for the Griffins. On Saturday the varsity chess team won the Clayton Tournament. Brandon Stanfield, with a perfect 4 and 0 record, Paul Nicholson, Lucas Mead, Hans Mohr and Eric Ohlendorf won individual awards.
On Thursday, the fishing club will meet for the first time this semester. We will discuss our 2nd semester outings along with information about competing against other schools in the Club Fishing of St. Louis Tournament. The meeting will be during Encore in Room 402 and will only last about half of the Encore Period. Everyone who is interested in fishing is welcome to attend.
Congratulations to robotics Team 6453 for winning the “Design Award” at the FTC Qualifier in Springfield! Big shout out to Jacob Fisher, Matt Shannahan, Michael Depelheuer, Andrew Chapman, and Adam Boland for a job well done. Both Robotics teams did a great job, your hard work and dedication paid off!
Chaminade says the Interior is the Essential. Do you want to deepen your interior life to be more fully alive? Griffin LIFE is a group of Vianney men seeking to live a meaningful, faith-filled life. Our first night of the semester is Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Media Center. Join us for some faith, fellowship, and food.
Griffin Theatre will present All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten this Thursday thru Sunday. Kindergarten is a collection of funny stories that take a look at the fantasy of childhood through the wisdom of age. Performances are at 7:30 pm on Thursday through Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students. Kindergarten will be presented in a cabaret setting with the audience seated at tables, not in the traditional rows of seats. Please make plans to join us this weekend.
The Vianney Investment Club will meet on Wednesday this week in room 310. Come prepared to share your portfolio and vote on our options for the Investment Account. See Andrew Chapman or Derek Book if you can not make it.
