Congratulations to the Cast and Crew of Kindergarten on a great opening night last night!

Griffin Theatre continues All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten this weekend. Show times are 7:30 pm Friday and Saturday and 2:00 Sunday. This is a cabaret show -- the audience will be seated at tables around the stage. It is a theatrical revue format with monologues, dialogues and multiple voice narrations -- stories being told about life which range from the whimsical to the profound. Seating is reserved--$5 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens. See Mr. Book to reserve tickets.

Saturday at 11:00 am Eddie Albarran will put an exclamation mark at the end of his high cross country career as he competes in the high school division of the US Cross Country Championships on the Central Fields in Forest Park. If you want to catch a glimpse of Eddie you should arrive early as there will be literally thousands of participants in a number of races throughout the morning and the National Championships begin at 1:00 pm.

The next Prolife Club meeting is Tuesday in the chapel during encore. All are welcome. Come hear about the recent pilgrimage to
Washington D.C., the upcoming 40 Days for Life campaign, and some exciting new possibilities for the Vianney Prolife Club.

All students who traveled with Vianney to the March for Life: please stop by Mr. Kheriaty's room for a brief meeting today after school.

Seniors--check out the new scholarship opportunity on the Updates section of Family Connection
The Glendale Kirkwood Kiwanis Club is offering a scholarship to seniors. Criteria for the scholarship include service to your community, academic achievement (especially marked improvement in gpa), extra curricular participation and some financial need.

All three levels of the Vianney wrestling program dueled with Oakville last night. The varsity squad lost a tough meet, 45-27. The junior varsity squad also fought hard but came up short versus Oakville, 36-18. The freshman wrestlers ended their season on a high note, defeating Oakville, 42-14.

Anyone that has signed up or would like to sign up for baseball tryouts needs to check the Master List to see if your name is listed and if the positions you are going to try out for are correct. Please see Coach Brown if there is a mistake in positions, your name is missing or if you would like to have your name removed. The list can be found in the window of his office facing the Commons. Please do this sometime today. Tryouts for Spring Sports is February 25.

For all the swimmers who are working out after school--we will have no organized workout today. You are free to work out on your own if you choose. We will meet Monday at 3:00.

The basketball program would like offer their gratitude to the administration, faculty, staff and especially the student body for the great show of spirit and support in the Coaches vs. Cancer shootout. Your commitment to helping find a cure for cancer is tremendous and your Griffin Pride is outstanding.

Today, in room 302 during Encore, there will be a short meeting about the football off-season program for all sophomores and juniors interested in playing football next season. If you cannot make the meeting, please see Coach Hamilton, Coach O, or Coach Thomas to obtain the information.
