Juniors going on retreat:  Attention all Juniors who will be going on retreat next week. There will be a meeting during Encore on Tuesday. Everyone going to the Marianist retreat center will meet in the Activity Center. Everyone going to the Pallatine retreat center will meet in the Chapel. Check the rosters on the campus ministry bulletin board.

 

Congratulations to the Griffin Theatre cast and crew on a successful and very entertaining weekend of shows!

 

Inline Hockey Tryouts will be held the next two Wednesdays, February 4 and 11 at All American. There is a $20 tryout fee. Please contact Mike Zahoran at 314-604-3333 with questions or comments.

 


FRESHMEN:  If you attended last week's meeting with Coach Stein about attending the Exchange Trip to London and Wales this Autumn, the next meeting will be this THURSDAY FEBRUARY 5th in ROOM 308 at Encore.  If you did not make it to the meeting last week and would like information, please attend.

 

Marianist Vocation Retreat:   Have you ever thought about what it might be like to serve the Church in the United States or in other parts of the world as a Marianist priest or brother? There will be a Marianist Vocation Discernment Retreat for students from Marianist high schools that will take place at the end of February. See Fr. Tim


Baptism Class:  If you are a student who has never been baptized and would like to enter the Catholic Church, you can sign up for a class that will meet once a week during the season of Lent, which begins February 18. For more information, see Father Tim

 

The MOIHA (Missouri Inline Hockey Association)begins its season with The Tour Breakout Tournament in early March. League play starts in March & runs through the end of April. The season consist of 14 league Games. Playoff-eligible teams will compete for the State Championship in May. Games are played at MidWest in Queeny Park, All-American in S. County and Matteson’s in St Peters

The University of Missouri-Columbia offers several Engineering camps open to students in all grades. More details in the Leadership Center.

 

Seniors--Do you have a parent who is currently a member of an active, guard or reserve component of the US Army, The AUSA scholarship program may be in your future. More details in the Leadership Center.

 

Seniors interested in engineering--The Missouri Society of Professional Engineers will award $1000 scholarships to students with a 3.0 GPA and an ACT of 29 in Math and 25 in English.

 

The University of Dayton is offering the Marianist Leadership Scholarship of $4000 to students with a  3.0 GPA. More details in the Leadership Center.

 

Optimist International is offering an essay contest and an oratorical contest to compete for scholarships up to $2500.  More details in the Leadership Center.
