Thursday, Feb. 2nd:

Attention, Freshmen! Remember that the freshman basketball team hosts Chaminade tonight at 5PM with the MCC championship on the line. Please make sure you arrive early. Once the field house reaches capacity, we’ll have to start turning people away.  Tonight at 5PM. Be there!

Every student at Vianney is asked to make a retreat every school year. Any freshman or sophomore who missed your retreat earlier as well as any Junior or Senior who is not signed up for the second semester retreats  must register for the Lent Retreat on line. The March Kairos is full but there is still room for the April Kairos or the Lent Retreat.

Last chance to RSVP to Mr Buehrle. Stop by 106 to turn in the form. If you are interested but cannot attend the meeting tonight, stop by room 106 sometime today to let Mr Buehrle know. The meeting starts at 6:00pm.

There will be a mandatory National Honor Society Meeting on TODAY in Mr. Redman’s room (209) during Encore to discuss the upcoming Food Drive and other pertinent topics.  Be there!

There will be a meeting for all soccer players in the cafeteria after school today.  This meeting is for all freshman, sophomores, & juniors interested in playing soccer next year.  Please bring something to write with.

Next week Vianney STUCO is sponsoring Cancer Awareness Week. Every day next week is potentially a dress down day for YOU the student body. Every day bring in $1 to donate and be allowed to dress down in the following colors:

Tuesday: Wear Orange for Leukemia awareness

Wednesday: Wear purple for pancreatic cancer awareness

Thursday: wear blue for prostate cancer awareness

Friday: Wear the official paint it pink shirt for breast cancer for free!

Reminder: Just $1 a day to dress down all week next week.

St. Justin the Martyr in Sunset Hills is looking for a few good men to help out with their Luke 18 retreat this March. Anyone who is interested in helping out and earning some service hours should stop by and see Mr. Remiger. Luke 18 is an excellent opportunity to gain leadership experience and grow spiritually. there will be a golf meeting Friday at Encore in Room 306

Anyone who is interested in learning more about outfield play should come by Room 108 during Encore today to watch a video by former major league outfielder Darren Erstadt.  Catchers will conclude their video in Room 105 during Encore today.

Please sign up in the Advancement Office if you want to volunteer at the Auction on February 18th.  We need students from all classes to work the event. Thank you!

Wednesday the Junior Varsity Chess Team tied the Crossroads varsity team by the score of 15 to 15.  Dominic Caputa, Lucas Mead, Evan Lovera and Eric Ohlendorf won for the Griffins.

Vianney JV racquetball triumphed over Parkway West on Wednesday under the leadership of Captain Sam Raineri. Jacob Dailey secured the 3-2 win over Parkway with wins of 15-8 and 15-12. The Varsity team plays today against SLUH with JV competing again late next week.
