FRIDAY FEBRUARY 2

There will be a change in the class meeting schedule.  Next week we will conduct the Freshman, Sophomore and Junior Class Meetings so that the counselors can go over pre-registration for each division.  Juniors will meet on Monday, Sophomores on Tuesday and Freshmen on Thursday.  Seniors will still have their meeting on the original date.

Congratulations to the freshman basketball team, who finished their season in style last night with a come-from-behind victory over Oakville. Timmy Galczynski’s three-pointer was the big shot of the game, and Mitchell Wilson led the way in scoring.

The sophomore basketball griffins picked up a big "buzzer beater" road win 53-52 over Whitfield last night. Matt Hayes scored the game winner with 1.3 seconds left on the clock. Nathan Beaton lead the team with 14 points and Jacob Craig added 12 more.

There will be an informational meeting today during Encore for any sophomore, junior or senior who is signed up to tryout for baseball this year.  The meeting will be in Room 402.  Make plans to be there on time.  Freshman, your meeting will be Wednesday, after school in Room 402 as well.

All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten opened last night and will run through Sunday afternoon. Performances are at 7:30 pm tonight, Friday and Saturday. Sunday’s performance is at 2:00 pm.  Make your plans now to enjoy a great evening of storytelling.

There will be a GOLF meeting for ALL Golfers next TUESDAY at Encore in Room 306! If you cannot attend YOU must see Coach Owens and find out what is going on!

Anyone interested in the Peru Service Project and would like more information, stop by Mr Buehrle or Ms Palazzolo’s room sometime today or tomorrow. The official informational meeting is February 6th at 6pm, in the Griffin Cafe.

STUCO is sponsoring Cancer Awareness Week next week. On Monday all students will be allowed to dress down in WHITE for awareness of Lung Cancer. In order to dress down you must donate at least $1. Other Colors will be announced throughout the week.

Finally, Happy Birthday today to freshman, Brock Daniels and celebrating birthdays this weekend will be freshman, Jack Silies on Saturday and senior, Sam Sallee and freshmen, Jacob Brewer, Justin Schoenwalder and Brayden Holder on Sunday.  We hope that you all have a great day on your special day.  Those are your Friday morning announcements.  Make it a great day and weekend to be a Griffin!
