Vianney Daily Bulletin

Wednesday, FEBRUARY 7:

STUCO would like to thank everyone for their support of Cancer Awareness week so far. Your support has been overwhelming. Today we recognize a cancer particularly close to the Vianney family, Leukemia. It is a progressive disease when someones bone marrow and other blood-forming organs produce increased numbers of immature cells. This leads to suppressed red blood cell production and leads to serious health issues. The survival rate for Leukemia has increased dramatically recently with a 60-80% survival rate after 5 years of treatment. Tomorrow we are allowing you to select which cancer you would like to spread awareness for. Come dressed in your select color and STUCO will provide you with a nametag to put on your shirt to show which cancer you want awareness raised for.

The Government & Politics Club will meet in room 500 during Encore on Friday.

Reminder that there a volleyball open gym on Thursday from 7-830 pm. Come play, meet the coaches, and have some fun! See Ms. Hoge with any questions.

Bocce Players--a reminder that we play tomorrow afternoon at 3:10 and 3:45.

If you drive and you are interested in a part time job assisting with car washes, please apply through Fr. Tim.

Have you ever thought about being a Marianist Lay person, a Marianist priest or brother. Vianney, Chaminade, and St. Mary’s are teaming up to have an information discernment retreat for Juniors and Seniors to talk about the future of the Marianist Family. If you think you have the leadership and faith, please see Fr. Tim for information or to register.

Josh Kleinheider’s 26 points were not enough in a 58-54 loss to DeSmet.  The loss drops Vianney’s record to 13-8 on the season.  The Griffins host SLUH on Friday night in the Annual Paint It Pink Game at 7:00 pm.

Paint It Pink Shirts are on sale in the school store for $10.  All proceeds of tshirt sales go to the Hope Lodge.  Even if you have a previous year’s Paint It Pink Shirt, we are asking you to buy this year’s version of the shirt as a way to contribute to this very worthy cause and help the families who stay at the Hope Lodge.
