Congratulations to the Class of 2017!
Future Griffins became Fellow Griffins as 8th graders received their letters of acceptance to St. John Vianney High School. Students in the Class of 2017 were excited, and have a lot to look forward to as their journey to high school continues.
Vianney has accepted 161 incoming freshmen, and they will be treated to a number of exciting events throughout the spring and summer:
- Placement Test - Maybe exciting isn't the word they would use, but incoming freshmen will gather for the first time as a class to take the Explore test, and then enjoy a pizza party together afterwards
- Celebration Night - An evening to learn and discover more about Vianney, and start to understand why we have over 8,000 proud alumni. Students and parents will get pertinent information as well as personal stories from students, teachers, administrators and alumni!
- Fun Day - Creatively named, this is simply a day of fun for the boys! The Class of 2017 will get together on a Saturday morning with the gyms, fields and classrooms open with games and fun activities.
- Camp Griffin - This is a summer camp-style way to get to know the incoming class, find out all the great opportunities Vianney has to offer and interact with current students and teachers.
All of this before we even get to the extensive Link Crew Freshman Transition Program in the Fall! Once again, congratulations to the Class of 2017 and we look forward to all the great things from its members over the next four years!
