The varsity basketball team saw their season come to an end with a district finals loss to Webster Groves on Friday night.  Special thanks to all members of Griffin Nation who came out and supported the team all year long.  Thank you to seniors Frank Arnett, TJ Cochran, Tommy Fey, Ethan Kleinheider, Eric Krus, and Ian Tierney for all of your dedication over the last four years.  

Come out Friday, March 10th to see the Griffin's Lacrosse team play their home opener at 7:30pm in the stadium field. Anyone in attendance by the opening faceoff and wearing Vianney colors or having a student ID will be given a FREE SLICE of CHEESE PIZZA! Support the lacrosse team and get a free slice o’pie!

On March 31,  Stuco is hosting a talent show and art display.  So if you are an actor, a dancer, a musician, a magician, a comedian, an artist, or if you have a different unique talent that you want to show the whole school, sign up through the Student Council.  Acts can be serious or funny.  Whatever you do, have fun and show us what you got.  For more information talk to a Stuco member.  Thanks!

Over the weekend the Vianney Griffins Racquetball program competed in the National Tournament with tremendous success. 11 players competed with the following players earning medals: Sam Visintine earned seed 2 consolation bracket 2nd place. Sergio Bertarelli in seed 5 consolation earned 3rd place. Evan Riganti struck deep into the bracket and earned the title of 4th best player in the nation for his number 3 seed bracket. And the captain the team continued to lead the Griffins to success. Senior Zach Layton competed in the finals for his seed 4 position. After a tough match Zach was declared the 2nd best player in the nation for his seed. Overall the team finished 7th in the nation of over 30 teams. Congrats to all of the racquetball players for a great season.

Saturday the Varsity Chess Team won the Gateway Class Tournament, and the Freshman Chess Team also won the Freshman Division.  Paul Nicholson, Mike Esswein, Lucas Mead and Trevor Stefanski won individual awards

Juniors  who signed up for college visits, a reminder that Lindenwood University Belleville will be in the here at 8:40 this morning and Missouri State University will be here at 10:40. Both meetings will be held in the Leadership Center, please be on time.

The following individuals need to meet with Mr Buehrle during Encore today for a quick meeting: John Baur, Sam Biffignani, Karl Bitzer, Jack Borisenko, James Lahrman, Luke Brooks, Ian Esteban, Josh Gerwel, Dylan Nguyen, and Lucas Sturma.
