This week we will be conducting our monthly class meetings. If you are not in Mandatory Encore please be prompt so we can get through all material. Sophomores today, seniors on Tuesday, juniors on Thursday and freshman on Friday.

 

Encore Communion Service for Lent?  You are invited to the Encore communion service. Consider giving up a small part of your time during Lent for God.

 

Blood Apostles Meeting on Tuesday: If you are a blood apostle you are asked to attend an informational meeting on Tuesday (tomorrow) during Encore. For more information see Fr. Tim

 

Blood Apostles:  If you are a Junior or Senior in good standing with the school; doing well in your studies; have or will give blood this Lent at our Lenten drive; care about how you can put your faith into action; and seeking to do something special for others, than apply to be a Blood Apostle. We need 12-15 apostles to work on the Lenten Blood Drive which will begin when we return from Spring break. Please see Father Tim.

 

The West Point Society and Parents Club of St. Louis invites all interested high school students and their parents to a presentation on the West Point Admissions Process by retired Colonel Frank Janoski  on Tuesday, April 15th at 7 pm at Algonquin Golf Club.  RSVP and address information can be found on the guidance bulletin board near the Marianist lobby or see your counselor for more information.

 

Attention parents:  Mark your calendar to attend the spring Parent's Club meeting on Thursday, March 27 at 7pm in the Griffin cafe.  The featured speaker will be a representative from the athletic department from SIU-E presenting information on the NCAA and eligibility requirements.   New eligibility requirements begin with the class of 2016.  Come check it out!

 

3 On 3 hoops is coming!  You may have four players on your team.  Here's the deal:  A team may have only one varsity basketball player. A team may have two JV or Freshman players.  A team could have one varsity player and one JV or Freshman.  There will be no restrictions on alumni.  All proceeds will benefit Special Olympics.  Roster can be found in room 305.

 

Science Honor Society:  There will be a meeting for all members of the Science Honor Society on Friday, March 28 at encore.

 

A reminder to all about the 3 on 3 basketball tournament Saturday, March 29. Get your rosters in to coaches Walsh or Rhame by Wednesday so we can have brackets set. REMEMBER: $20 per team - 4 to a team - only 1 varsity player per team - all proceeds go to Special Olympics - champions from both sides of brackets will play for overall championship.

 

Attention seniors—Please remind your parents about the MANDATORY senior parent meetings scheduled for March 31 and April 1 at 6 pm in the Griffin cafe.  Every senior must have one parent attend. Topics include Prom, Baccalaureate, Graduation, Final Transcripts, etc.  At the conclusion of the meeting, tickets for the Graduation ceremony will be distributed.  Please contact Mr. Matreci at: dmatreci@vianney.com with questions.
