Attention All Blood Apostles - There will be a mandatory meeting today at the start of Encore in the chapel lobby.

Reminder – Tomorrow, Vianney will host our Lenten Blood Drive here at Vianney from 8:30-1:30 pm.  We’re 7 blood donors away from reaching our goal of 100 blood donors. Also, since tomorrow’s blood drive theme is “Let’s Taco Bout Donating,” we will offer delicious chips and salsa from Amigo’s Cantina in Kirkwood to all blood donors, along with a variety of snacks and beverages.  If you are interested in signing up, please see Mr. Becvar in Campus Ministry at the end of Encore today. Again, if you are 16 years of age, you must turn in your permission form to Mr. Becvar or Mr. Alexander ASAP. There are available permission forms in the main office. Thank you again for choosing to provide life to those in need!

BBQ Club will meet at encore in the cafe. We will be planning our Easter Monday outing among other things!

Juniors--Check the windows of the Gear Store for your room assignments for the ACT testing next Tuesday.  You will need to be in your assigned testing room by 7:45 that morning.

JV Lacrosse fell to DeSmet last night 15-2. Freshman goalie Jack Casanova racked up double-digit saves and kept the team motivated.

Varsity Lacrosse lost to DeSmet 17-6. Barcum and Williams both lead the way with 2 goals and 1 assist each. Senior goalie Noah Sudholt ended with an impressive 19 saves.

The Griffins return home tonight for the Battle of the Boulevard as they face the Lindbergh Flyers. Let’s get a great crowd out to support. JV @ 5:30, Varsity @ 7:30

The freshman Black baseball team defeated Parkway South 10-0 yesterday. Peter Rule threw a complete game one-hit shutout. Joey Funk had three hits and scored four runs to pace the offense.

NEXT Week is Spring Spirit Week! In order to help celebrate the Spring Sports of Vianney please help us by dressing down and having some great food. On Monday it will be College Gear Dress Down Day as well as prepaid Gioias Deli Sandwiches for Lunch. Check the posters around the school for all of the Spirit Week activities

As part of Spirit Week STUCO is pre-selling FULL LENGTH Gioias Sandwiches on Monday. Place your order with Mr. Lewis in room 310. FULL LENGTH sandwiches are $5

Guys who signed up for the movie “Unplanned, please bring your permission form to Mr. Kheriaty in room 109 today at encore. We will meet at Ronnie’s tonight at 6:45 pm.

Congrats to the JV and varsity volleyball teams who opened with wins at Marquette high school yesterday! The freshman team competes in the Oakville tournament this Saturday starting at 9 am.

Juniors, Tomorrow is the last day to sign up for the Junior Ring dance. The form to sign up is in room 310 or the main office. All ONLINE REGISTRATION must be completed by TOMORROW. Payment can be made on by Monday.

Tomorrow is our annual Lenten Blood Drive.  The blood drive will take place in the Activity Center.  Here are some important reminders about tomorrow’s blood drive.  

 

  • To be eligible to give blood, all blood donors are required to know the last four digits of your social security number.  In addition, all donors are required to bring in a state-issued form of ID. Also, any student (16 years of age) must turn in a completed parental permission form to donate.  
  • All student blood donors will receive a hallway pass tomorrow morning from your period B teacher.  
  • You must show your hallway pass with your assigned time slot at the registration table to be eligible to give blood.  
  • If you need a parental permission form, please grab one from Mr. Becvar in the commons after school today.

 

The following students need to meet with Mr. Becvar in the commons after school today: Ryan Eschbach, Will Sinak, Kyle Webb, Carson Dawidowski, Joseph Lyon, and Jack Hessi.

All blood apostles must meet with Mr. Becvar and Mr. Alexander after school today in the commons.
