Lunch shift changes today:  Mr. Owens’ B period class will eat at 4th lunch today; Mr. Neyer’s Band will eat at 1st lunch today.

 

Seniors:  Prom tux fittings need to be scheduled in advance—sign up in the Main Office before April 9.

 

Optional Lenten Retreat:  There will be a Lenten retreat all day on Sunday, April 6th and all day onTuesday April 8th. If you are interested in learning more about this experience or signing up, please see Fr. Tim or Mr. Remiger. If you were not able to make your  retreat this year, than you must sign up for this retreat. Please do so

Pro Life Prayer Vigil:  You are invited to join thousands of other Christians throughout St. Louis and across the country who are taking part in the national 40 Days for Life campaign. St. John Vianney HS has adopted next Thursday, April 10th as our day to stand in peaceful and prayerful vigil outside the abortion facility on Forest Park Ave from 7:am to 7:pm. It is because of the prayerful efforts of people like you that hearts are being changed and lives are being saved at this location. Please consider signing up for one hour of your time. Sign up through a Pro Life Club member, in campus ministry, or with Mr. Kheriaty or Fr. Tim.

Attention Sophomores and Juniors!!!  If you can remember who your Link Crew Leaders were from your freshman year,  then you know what an impact they made on your high school experience.  Be willing to PAY IT FORWARD by serving as a Link Crew leader for the Class of 2018.  Pick up an application from Mrs. Ploesser in the Admissions Office. Applications are due by Thursday

JUNIORS: Don't forget to sign up for junior ring online. Once you sign up bring the signed form and money to Mr. Lewis in 310. You have two weeks left to sign up!!!

MILITARY HISTORY: don't forget contract and payment are due to Mr. Lewis by this Friday. If you are still interested in taking the class and have no info please see Mr Lewis in 310.

Attention juniors: the last ACT course of the year will begin on April 16. See Mr. Meyer in the counseling office for more information.

 

Come "Brush Up Your Shakespeare" and work with Griffin Theatre! This is your opportunity to be part of the production of Kiss Me, KateApril 10-13. We need ushers for any or all performances and an assistant house manager to help sell tickets, organize the ushers and sell concessions. Activity points are earned! See Mrs. Fullenkamp in room 408 to get your name on the list or for questions!

The inaugural St. John Vianney Literary & Art Journal (The Mag) is now accepting submissions from now until April 21st.  Please see posted guidelines around the school or in room 302.  Or simply come talk to Mr. Sargent for more information.  We are looking for finely-crafted submissions of: short-fiction, essays, poetry, art, photography.

 

Attention to all Swimmers and Divers and anyone interested in swimming or diving this year.  We will have a meeting this Thursday in Room 107 during Encore for all those interested in swimming and diving this Fall.  If you can't make the meeting, please see Coach Alexander in room 107.

 

Tech Club -- Join Tech Club and SLU computer science professor Erin Wolf-Chambers for "Programming Unplugged", a hands-on, no-screens-required look at how a computer thinks.  Friday at 2:45.

 

ALL GOLFERS meet in the Varsity LOCKER ROOM immediately after school today to meet with Coach Terry Cochran!

 

Varsity Golf Griffins finished tied for 5th in the 2014 SLUH 20 team tournament at The Bluffs GC yesterday shooting a team score of 314! The Griffins were paced by Nick Estopare's 76, Logan Spies 77, Matt M Mueller 80, and Mason Brobeck 81. Great job guys!

 

The Vianney Track and Field team compete today in the MCC Relays at SLUH beginning at 4:00 pm.  Come cheer on the Griffins.
