On Saturday, the varsity volleyball team went 5-0 to win the Vianney Varsity  tournament! They move to 9-0 on the year. Your freshman volleyball team is also tournament champions- taking first place in the Rockwood Summit Tournament. Congrats to the volleyball program on a great weekend!

Also on Saturday the varsity baseball team swept a double header beating FZS in Game 1 by a score of 9-3 and in Game 2 they downed FZW by a score of 6-1.  The Griffins have a busy week this week with the potential of 7 games starting this afternoon when they travel to Howell North to take on the Knights. First pitch is 4:30 PM.  Tomorrow they continue in MCC play when they host DeSmet. First pitch tomorrow is also set for 4:30 PM.

Mr. Burke is looking for volunteers for a trivia night at Vianney on Sat April 14th. 3 opportunities for set up, working the event, and clean up on Sunday. Earn service hours!!!! see Mr. Burke for more details.

The freshman Black baseball team beat Parkway South 7-0 on Friday, as Nick Eppy had three hits and Ryan Carolan and Max Clark combined for the shutout. The freshmen also split a double header at DeSmet on Saturday. Max Clark, Riley Clancy, and Cade Mahn all had two-hit games.

The Varsity and JV  lacrosse teams both won on the road against Kirkwood this weekend.  Varsity final was 12-7 behind 3 goals each from Williams and Celeslie.  JV 4-2, lead by Tommy Mataya with 2 goals.

This Tuesday, your 8th ranked Varsity team takes their 7-2 record on the road to 6th ranked CBC, with a 7pm start. JV starts at 5pm.  We need a strong fan base to come out and cheer on a victory against MCC rival.

At the midway point in the season, at the top of the leader board in the state in assists, at #1 is Joe Mirbaha.  Ranked second in total goals in the state is Jordon Celeslie. Goalie Noah Sudholt ranks 5th in win/loss record and 5th in total saves.  

Due to the volatile nature of the market right now The Vianney Investment Club will be meeting Thursday after school in room 310. Please bring your portfolios for review.
