Guitar club members, we need to meet this Thursday after school in the band room to discuss some upcoming potential gigs here at Vianney.  Also, bring your rehearsed 2-song set that we discussed at our last meeting!!

 

Do you have a big fish story. Due to the fact that there is no encore today the fishing club meeting will be held Friday during encore in room 310.  See Mr. Schuermann for more details.

 

Attention juniors:  The last  ACT course of the year starts next Wednesday, April 16.  See Mr. Meyer in the counseling office for more information.  As of right now, there are 15 spots left.

Griffin Theatre:  Ushers, we need ushers! See Mrs. Fullenkamp in room 408. Get your name on the list!

Be sure to schedule your evening at Griffin Theatre! "Brush Up Your Shakespeare" for this week's performances of '"Kiss Me, Kate". The cast has worked very hard on this entertaining musical comedy based on "The Taming of the Shrew". It's funny, touching and has some big surprises. Student tickets are only $4.00, all seats are reserved, and you can buy your ticket at the door. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:30. See you there!

Next Student Body Mass:  We are looking for volunteers to assist at our next student body mass which comes next week during Holy Week on Tuesday, April 15. If you would like to become involved, please see Fr. Tim

JUNIORS: Don't forget to sign up for junior ring online. Once you sign up bring the signed form and money to Mr. Lewis in 310. You have two weeks left to sign up!!!

For those juniors who are interested in taking a campus visit to Missouri S&T, please see Mr. Lantz to sign up. The trip is scheduled for April 29th. We will leave by bus around 7AM and return around 3PM. There are a limited number of seats available.

 

The inaugural St. John Vianney Literary & Art Journal (The Mag) is now accepting submissions from now until April 21st.  Please see posted guidelines around the school or in room 302.  Or simply come talk to Mr. Sargent for more information.  We are looking for finely-crafted submissions of: short-fiction, essays, poetry, art, photography.

 

Attention juniors and sophomores and their parents:  Maryville University is hosting a college fair on Sunday, April 27 from 1-3 pm in the Simon Center.  Representatives from over 100 schools will be in attendance.  Pre-register and get a barcode at:  gotocollegefairs.com.  See your counselor for more information or check out the posters around the building.

Special Olympics  Tomorrows Special Olympics meeting will be held in the field house during Encore.  Please arrive promptly, sign in, and we will finish our meeting in time for you to visit the cafe. Anyone on the waiting list should sign in with Coach Rhame.  If you are unable to attend, please let Mr. C. Walsh know  .After the meeting, our roster for the April 28th event will be finalized.

 

Varsity Golf defeated CBC 239-251 at Norwood CC yesterday, led by Matt M Mueller and Mason Brobeck's 37's, Logan Spies shot 39 and Nick Estopare shot a 40 to pace the Griffins! Today SLUH at Sunset Hills GC!
