Monday, April 10:

The National Letter of Intent Signing Day will be this Wednesday, April 12 in the Media Center at 8:30 a.m. Come and celebrate with your classmates.

The Vianney Prolife Club will meet Wednesday morning in room 109 at 8:30 am. We will hear from some seniors about their experience in the Prolife Club, and plan ways to spread the Culture of Life in the coming years. Please make an effort to attend.

We begin Holy Week, a sacred time for prayer and thinking about our Lenten theme, “Lead Me To The Cross” and our Lenten resolutions. There will not be a communion service at Encore today and tomorrow due to the different retreats happening. You are encouraged to drop by our chapel for a moment of private prayer.

The freshman Black baseball team swept a doubleheader from DeSmet on Saturday to improve to 8-1.  Joe Schulze had two big RBI extra base hits in Game 1, Matt Mebruer drove in three runs in Game 2, and Griffin John rapped out five hits on the day.

Chris Tabourne led the Griffin Track and Field team to a fifth place finish at the All Catholic Invitational Saturday.  Chris won the triple jump, took 3rd in the 110 hurdles and scored in the 300 hurdles.  Joe Souvannarath was runner up both hurdle events as well.  Tyler Moore took 2nd in the high jump and Luke Brooks finished 3rd in the discus to close out the medalists.  The Griffs had several other placers to help Vianney take a high place in the team competition.

The freshman volleyball team did not drop a set and finished first in the Rockwood Summit tournament this past Saturday.

Congratulations to the Varsity Lacrosse team on their 11-3 victory over Rockwood Summit on Friday night.

The JV Lacrosse team defeated Rockwood Summit on Friday by a score of 12-4.

Congratulations to the cast, crew & musicians of SPAMALOT on a very successful run this past weekend. For the first time,  Griffin Theatre’s production of Spamalot is eligible for the St. Louis High School Musical Theatre Awards. Balloting results will be known the first part of May. Congratulations,once again to all involved.
