On Saturday, April 13, senior Oliver Layher will be competing in the Finals of the St. Louis Teen Talent Competition at the Fox Theatre at 8:00 pm.  Tickets for the show are free and can be picked up from Mr. Matreci in the Leadership Center.

Junior and Senior Math Scholars, If you would like to join MU ALPHA THETA, pick up an application from Coach Trowbridge in room 110. Seniors, if you think you are or should be in Mu alpha Theta confirm with Coach Trow.

Yearbook pictures will be taken during Encore on Monday, April 15, in the Commons, for the Lettermen’s Club, All Athletic Apostles from Fall, Winter and Spring Sports teams, Griffin LIFE, Racquetball, Bowling and Bocce teams.

JV golf beat CBC yesterday at Normandie golf course. Gabe Ducey led the Griffins with a low score of 37.

Results from yesterday’s field events at the Webster Invitational.  CJ Bossert 1st in shot put, 4th in discus. Dan St. Louis 2nd in shot put, 3rd in discus and 6th in javelin. On the JV side Ethan Coles won both the shot put and discus.  Other medalists include Mark Meyers shot put, Chris Hruz in pole vault, Jake Kellar in high jump and Tyler Trueman in triple jump.

The freshman Black baseball team beat CBC last night for their seventh win in a row. Peter Rule was the winning pitcher and helped himself with three hits. Reid Coulter was the defensive star, and Joey Funk tossed three innings for the save.

Sophomore baseball beat Francis Howell Central 12-3.  Offensive leaders were Nick Eppy had 4 hits and 5 RBI and Ryan Carolan with 3 hits and 4 RbI.  Max Clark pitched 6 innings allowing 2 earn runs while striking out 3.

Varsity and JV volleyball defeated O’Fallon, St  Marys, and Eureka the past 3 days! Varsity competes in the Fort Zumwalt South Tournament tomorrow!

Congratulations to the cast, pit and crew of Guys and Dolls on an excellent opening night performance. Guys and Dolls continues its runs with performances tonight, Saturday night and Sunday night at 7:30 pm. It’s a sure bet that you do not want to miss Guys and Dolls.

Finally, a belated birthday to Josh Russell, Jack Hingle and Bryan Alonso.  I misread the date from yesterday and overlooked them. We hope that you had a great day on your special day.  There are no birthdays today, but over the weekend we wish a happy birthday to Joe & Josh Michel, Braeden Boucher, Jack Clark and Jake Henry.  We hope you all enjoy your day.

The Freshmen Golf Team received its first victory of the season yesterday against CBC. Calvin Lane led the way with a clutch chip in on the seventh hole, and the Freshmen look to take a second win in their rematch against the Cadets next Wednesday.
