Griffin LIFE meets this Thursday. You won’t want to miss it. If you haven’t been to a Griffin LIFE night yet, it is never too late to start. The bonds of true brotherhood form when we engage in important life topics.

The varsity baseball team made it a 7-0 week last week with 4 wins on Friday and Saturday.  On Friday, the Griffins swept Lindbergh by scores of 9-3 & 5-2

The freshman Black baseball team swept a double header from a very good Westminster team on Saturday morning. Jack Bollinger threw a complete game, one-hit shutout in Game 1. A come-from-behind, walk-off win in Game 2 was keyed by Riley Clancy’s triple and Henry Balmer’s game-tying double, and Ryan Carolan drew a bases-loaded walk to score the winning run. Roman Graiff had three hits on the day.

The Freshman Gold baseball team beat CBC on Friday with a score of 11-6. Joey Lyon led the team with a pair of triples, a double and 5 RBI’s.

Andrew Bishop and Michael Boemer were relatively unfazed by the wet and windy weather Saturday at the Corey Siebert Invitational as they dominated the throws competition.  Drew took first place in JV discus; Michael placed fourth both in season-best performances. In the shot put, Michael took 3rd and Drew 4th, both eclipsing the 40+ feet mark.  Other scorers: Kahlil Hanks earned 5th place in the 300m IH; the team of Jake Kellar, Luke Picha, Jack Eller, and Nolan Worley was 7th in the 4x800

On the varsity side, the scoring was even more difficult.  Chris Tabourne's 5th place in the triple jump was the only medal on the day.

Griffin Theatre will present Mel Brook’s YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN this Thursday thru Saturday evenings at 7:30 PM and on Sunday at 2 PM. Tickets are available at the door or on the Vianney website. Make your plans now to attend this hilarious spoof of the classic Mel Brook’s film.
