THURSDAY, APRIL 20TH

The freshman Black baseball team won all five of its games over Easter Break. Highlights included Isaac Hertweck’s three-hit, four-RBI game at Belleville West; Sam Altobella’s home run at Westminster; and Max Luna’s two-run walk-off triple to beat SLUH.

Yesterday, B Baseball beat SLUH 2-1.  Hank Sauer earned the win allowing 1 unearned run in 5 innings.  Michael Klocke pitched a two scoreless innings for the save.  Lane Allison and Grant Atwood led the offense with a hit and RBI. During Encore ALL sophomore baseball players are asked to come to Room 108 at the start of Encore for a very brief but important meeting about the schedule for the remainder of the week.

Varsity Baseball Players are reminded that we will be making sandwiches in the cafe during Encore today.  Everyone needs to be there since several of the players have an Ambassador Meeting

Over break, the varsity volleyball team took 1st place in the Zumwalt South Tournament. The freshman volleyball team beat Thomas Jefferson’s team, and all three levels defeated Eureka. Tonight, the volleygriffs take on the number 1 ranked SLUH Billikens. Freshman at 4, JV at 5, and Varsity at 6. Come support your griffins in this big MCC match!

Attention sophomores and juniors:  There is one more ACT prep course left this school year.  It will start on May 29, after school gets out, for students taking the ACT in June.  See Mr. Meyer in the counseling office for more information.

Juniors, today at 3pm is the last day to sign up for the junior ring dance. See Mr. Lewis or the main office for sign up information.

Attention everyone interested in running for student council your completed paperwork and speech are due to Mr. Lewis by 3:00pm Friday. See Mr. Lewis or Mr. Remiger with any questions.

Attention Special Olympians:   If you were a buddy for Special Olympics, please retrieve your thank you not as you enter the cafe.  Great job!  The response from the teachers was tremendous as always!
