WorldQuest competes in nationals

Good luck to the the members of Vianney's Academic WorldQuest team — Andrew Chapman, Nick Schwarzen, PJ Wuennenberg and Charlie Preiss — who will be competing in the WorldQuest National Competition on Saturday in Washington D.C.

"They have been preparing since November to compete in the national competition," WorldQuest advisor Dennis Matreci said. "They arrived in D.C. to face similar teams from all over the country.  It is all on the line Saturday morning for a grand prize of a week at the University of Doha in Qatar in June. The guys are feeling very confident about their ability to do well."

The Griffins earned the ticket to nationals after taking first place out of 33 teams in the St. Louis competition at St. Louis University back in November.

Academic WorldQuest is a competition put on by the World Affairs Councils of America for high school students that tests them in international politics, geography, global economics, history and world cultures.
