Bowling takes fourth at state

Congratulations to the St. John Vianney High School bowling team, which finished fourth at the Missouri High School State Handicap Tournament on Saturday, April 27.

Vianney bowling was represented by seniors Steven Ladenberger, Jack Ojile, Reilly Byrne and Chuck Koenig and juniors Max Luna and Hunter Koenig

The State Handicap Tournament is a 'Baker Style' tournament in which five bowlers bowl two frames in a game. The state tournament, which was held at Crestwood Bowl, was comprised of 24 teams that qualified from different conferences across Missouri.

The Vianney bowling team is coached by Zach Tapella '12 and Jeremy Remiger '98. The fourth-place finish is Vianney's second-best finish in program history. The Griffins finished second in 2011.
