Friday is a dress up day for all students for the senior honors convocation. Seniors have a full day of classes.

Graduation practice for the seniors will take place during C period on Thursday.

Juniors & Seniors: Today is the last day to turn in all library materials. All books must be returned and all fines paid before grades will be released.

Seniors: Please make sure to turn in the copies of your scholarship awards or we will not be able to include these in the graduation booklet. We also need your final transcript requests and Honors Graduate forms. We need all of these forms TODAY. See your counselor or Mr. Matreci if you have any questions.

Today is the last day for all senior privileges. Effective tomorrow morning all seniors will be in the regular school dress code.

The Concert Band will present its annual Spring Concert on Sunday, May 5, at 7:00 pm in the Activity Center. Selections will include marches, overtures, music from the Broadway stage, patriotic music and music from other cultures. Make plans to join us for a great evening of music.

There will be a short meeting during Encore on Thursday for the Juniors to vote for Mu Alpha Theta officers for the 2013/14 school year. Also, seniors please stop by to pick up your honor cords for graduation, etc.

ALL: This week, Griffin LIFE will have our final regular meeting on Wednesday. Also, permission forms are now available from the Campus Ministry for the Griffin LIFE Lock-In on the last day of school.

Juniors: A representative from St. Louis Community College at Meramec will be here today at 9am in the Leadership Center to explain options for dual enrollment for next year. If you plan on taking a course at Meramec in the fall, you must attend this meeting.

The volleyball teams will be playing their Paint It Pink Games on Friday v. Kirkwood with games at 4:00 & 5:00.
Dri-fit shirts for sale for $13 in the Griffin Gear Store with the logo "Vianney Griffins Attacking Cancer One Swing At a Time". Bracelets are also on sale in the Griffin Gear store for $2. At the games on Friday, there will be raffle items, 50/50 and t-shirts sales, all of which will benefit the Bob Costas Cancer Center at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Come support the volleyball team and raise some money for our fight against cancer! Tomorrow you may wear your Paint it Pink t-shirt with your regular dress code pants. If you choose not to wear the pink shirt, regular dress code is expected.

Attention juniors and sophomores and their parents: An Exploring College Options information session with admissions representatives from Duke, Georgetown, Harvard, Penn and Stanford will be held on Monday, May 13 at 7:30 pm at the Hilton Saint Louis Airport hotel, 10330 Natural Bridge Road. Get more information in the Updates section of Family Connection or see your counselor. A flyer is posted on the Guidance bulletin board.

There is a scholarship possibility for any senior who will be attending Mizzou in the fall. If you would like to know more about the Black Diamond Scholarship see your counselor ASAP. The deadline is May 1st.

There will be a meeting for any sophomore or junior interested in summer basketball opportunities at Vianney on Wednesday morning at 8:35 in room 303.

One week from today Vianney will welcome 140 special athletes and their teachers as we host our 11th annual Special Olympics unified track meet. Today we will have our second of three meetings. We need everyone who is participating to attend today's meeting during encore. If you cannot attend, see Mr. C. Walsh or Mr. Rhame. Please remember we are asking that all participants help defray the cost of the t-shirts.

Varsity golf finished 8 out of 11 teams with a score of 357! However, Matt M Mueller shot a 77 the third lowest score and will advance to the Sectionals at Farmington next Monday!! GREAT JOB MATT!!!!!
The JV Golf Team ended their season yesterday on a high note by defeating the Desmet Spartans 254 to 261. The low scores were shot by Marc Scheipeter with a 37, followed by a 40 from Andrew Smith and a 41 by Felix Unger.

Senior Mother-Son Mass and Baccalaureate Mass: Any senior interested in assisting at either of these two Masses is asked to see Fr. Tim sometime this week. We are looking for seniors who will help with processions; reading prayers; readers; etc.

Congratulations to the Tennis Team in taking third place in the 6 hour MCC Tennis marathon yesterday (3:30-9). Fourth places were won by Giel Vandeborne and Kevin Henschel in singles, third places went to Tony Price in singles and the doubles team of Joe LaMartina and Max Mangum, second place medal went to Alex Feicht in singles, and first place went to the doubles team of Sean Meyer and Matt Sapienza. The team will be playing St. Mary's today at Tower Grove Park.
