Today, the volleyball program travels to DeSmet. Freshman at 4, JV at 5, and varsity at 6! Come cheer on your volleyball program!

The freshman Black baseball team beat Zumwalt West yesterday afternoon for their 20th victory of the season, behind the pitching tandem of Jack Bollinger and Brayden Holder. Nick Van Deman scored four runs, and Riley Clancy had the big blow with a grand slam home run.

Varsity baseball wins the Midwest Classic by a score of 12-1 over Francis Howell.  the Griffins went 5-0 in the weather delayed tournament that finished a month after it started.  Luke Mann was named Tournament MVP while Mitch O’Dekirk and Nico Hagen were both named to the All-Tournament team.  The Griffins improved to 28-2 on the year. Next up for the Griffins is St. Mary’s today and that game has been moved to Vianney.  Information on the sophomore game will be forthcoming today.-

It was a gutsy 6-3 win over Windsor last night for the Vianney TENNIS TEAM as they extend their winning streak to 5 in a row.  Singles wins by: Tom Beckmann, Drew Willi, Andrew Copeland and Blake Kronsbein. Doubles wins by: Jake Svezia & Tom Beckmann; Blake Kronbsbein & Miles Mao.

Mrs. Steeg is looking for volunteers to help her out on May 19th. The event is Carnival Day with the organization St. Louis ARC which is an organization who supports individuals with disabilities. If you enjoyed the special olympics this is the volunteer opportunity for you. If you’re interested, Stop by her office and sign up.

Attention sophomores and juniors:  The ACT prep course schedules are now available for next school year.  You may sign up for any course at any time. See Mr. Meyer in the counseling office for next year’s flyer and for more information.

Congratulation to the track team on many great performances at yesterday’s MCC Championships.  Medalists on the varsity include Chris Tabourne winning the 110 hurdles and triple jump, and placing in the 300 hurdles and long jump. Luke Brooks won the shot put and took second in the discus. Alex Moore took 2nd in the high jump. For JV Dan St. Louis won both the discus and javelin, Michael Boemer won the shot put with Drew Bishop in 2nd.  CJ Bossert earned silver in discus, Kahlil Hanks finished 3rd in 300 hurdles as did 4x800 team of Kellar, Eller, Picha and Mastis. There is a meeting for the entire team during Encore today.

Sophomore Baseball lost to Desmet 4-3.  Matt Mebruer provided the offense with 3 RbI’s on a bases clearing triple.

“ALL” golfers must meet in room 306 at encore! Mandatory! it will not last that long!  “ALL DISTRICT MUST GOLFERS BE THERE!!!”
