Reminder that we will have the Senior Class Meeting today.  At the start of Encore we ask that the all members of the senior class report to the Fieldhouse.

Remind your parents of the Parents’ Club meeting tonight before Back to School Night.  The meeting is in the cafe at 5:00.  We will have a special speaker, attendance prizes, and a chance to win free textbooks!

Juniors:  If your GPA is 3.75 or higher, be sure to submit any service hours worked since last semester to ensure your eligibility for National Honor Society.  All service hours must be submitted to Campus Ministry no later than Wednesday, August 25.

There will be a meeting for sophomores, juniors, and seniors interested in fall workouts for basketball on Tuesday after school in the field house.  See Coach K. Walsh for details.

The Back to School Mixer is THIS SATURDAY from 7-10pm! Pre-Purchase your tickets from STUCO members during encore, before school, and after school in room 310 or during Lunch from a STUCO representative. $8 pre-order, $10 at the door.

Freshman, This Friday is our First home football game. A tailgate for all freshman begins at 3:15pm. Sign up in your LINK rooms for free food, a movie, and a great experience! There is NO CHARGE for this event

Encore Communion Service:  Please feel free to join us this morning to participate in a communion service in the Marianist Lobby. All students walking by while the service is in session are asked to lower your voices and be reverent.

The Media Center will be used as a silent study area during Encore periods this year.  Please respect this area as a space for silent study and tutoring.

A Vianney grad who owns several car wash facilities and  is friends with Fr. Tim is looking to hire a responsible Vianney student part time. If you are at least 16, a person of character, and are able to drive to different car washes, please apply through Fr. Tim

If you are a senior and you still would like to become a Eucharistic Minister and help distribute communion to your team or at our student body masses, please apply through Fr. Tim.

The freshman football team gave up some big plays, but fought back hard in the second half to defeat Pattonville 47-38. Touchdowns were scored scored by John Volmert, Isaac Hertweck, Jake Miller had 2 and Joe Louis scored 3. Next up for the Griffs at home vs Kirkwood next Monday.

The Griffin Cross Country blew out the opposition in their first competition of the year yesterday.  Sam Moore, Chris Joseph, Pat Trani and Zach Layton took the top 4 spots and the team had 7 in the top 10.  Thanks to Mr. Walsh and Stein for their help with the BBQ
