Remember in your prayers today, Mr. Saali and his family.  Mr. Saali’s father passed away last evening after a long bout with cancer.

Paintball Club will meet TOMORROW, Tuesday, August 30th in Ms. White’s Room (Room 102) at the start of Encore!  All grades are welcome! Please make plans to attend!  Any questions, ask Ms. White!

There will be a meeting for all Fall Athletic Apostles on Wednesday, August 31 at 8:00 in Room PE500.

Throughout the Gospels, Christ identifies himself with the least among us. The Prolife Club invites you to join the movement to defend the least among us. The first Prolife Club meeting is this Thursday at encore in room 109. Please see Fr. Tim or Mr. Kheriaty with any questions.

Junior and Senior LINK Leaders. This week is a BIG week for freshman with many LINK activities. ALL LINK LEADERS please be in your classrooms ALL week to help speakers and students succeed.

This is to let all Seniors and the Griffin Game Governors know that this Friday during Encore we will have our first event of the school year.  In keeping in the spirit of the just concluded Olympics it will be the 4X25 Intermediate Medley Relay.  Shirts will be given out following the race.

The 2016 Homecoming dance is now available for sign up. Check the main Vianney page or the STUCO page for the online sign up. Paper copies of instructions are available in the main office or from Mr. Lewis. You must complete sign up by September 12th!

As part of Freshman Orientation the Computer Labs located in room 201 and 205 will be CLOSED during encore all week for Freshman orientation. Other students SHOULD NOT be in there during encore.

Interested in Politics and Government?  Want to learn more about the American political process in this exciting election year?  Come to the organizational meeting of the American Government & Politics Club during Encore on Tuesday in room 500.  If you have questions, see Seniors Tommy Sauer, Nick Rych, Carson Meyer or Mr. Matreci.

The varsity soccer team had a dominating performance against St. Dominic on Saturday, winning 3-0.  Goals were scored by seniors Dennys Vazquez, Andrew Poelzl, & Mark Pelizzaro.  Junior goalkeepers TJ Reigner & Connor Wobbe combined for the shutout in goal.  

The much anticipated Bocce season is about to begin. Bocce may not be for everyone. You need to be able to roll a ball on the floor. If you are cut out for this, come to the informational meeting tomorrow at encore in room 109. See Mr. Kheriaty with questions.

If you are a senior and would like to be a Eucharistic Minister at our masses,  please sign up with Fr. Tim. A training session will take place on Wed morning.

Student Council would like to thank everyone who came out to the football game and student back to school mixer. You showed Tremendous spirit with your attendance and energy! Great Job!

Reminder that there is a bowling meeting for all interested in Room 106 at the end of the day.  If you cannot make the meeting stop by and see Mr. Remiger.

The Griffin Swimmers took on 13 other teams at the Ladue Invitational on Saturday and finished in 9th place.  Medalists included Jake Gauvain--2nd in the 25 Free, 3rd on both the 200 IM and 500 Free as well as Sam Biffignani--6th in the 25 Free.  Other placers included Sam Biffignani--10th in both the 50 and 100 Frees, Paul Hoffman--11th in the 25 Free and 14th in the 100 Free and, finally, the 200 and 400 Free Relays of Gauvain, Biffignani, Hoffman and Drew Sandweg taking 8th and 7th, respectively.  The Swimmers take a road trip tomorrow to take on Cape Central.
