Any senior who is interested in being a Eucharistic Minister during the 2018-19 school should stop by and see Mr. Remiger between now and Friday to receive an application.
The alleys are oiled, the ball returns are running and, yes, the pins are falling!! That’s right it’s bowling season!!! Any student who is interested in bowling for Vianney MUST attend a meeting after school on Thursday. If you have any questions please stop by and speak to Mr. Remiger.
The Vianney Fishin’ Club will hold its first meeting of the year this Thursday, August 27 during Encore in Room 305. We will discuss our Fishin’ Trips for the first semester.
Seniors and Juniors who have not signed up for a retreat by Friday will be placed on a retreat at the discretion of Campus Ministry. If you have not signed up for a retreat yet, visit the Vianney Home Page, a link to the registration form can be found there.
The Vianney Prolife Club seeks to build a Culture of Life through education, prayer, and action. Is God calling you to be a voice for the voiceless? You can join the movement by coming to the Prolife meeting at encore on Friday in room 109.
The Freshman Black Soccer Team opened its Season yesterday with an impressive 3-0 win over Webster Groves. Max Sarich, Luke Higgins and Jacob Schmitt all scored for the Griffs!
The Varsity soccer team got a first half goal from senior Jacob Sansone & assisted by fellow senior Marty Thomas as the Griffin staunch defense held Eureka scoreless and won their home opener 1-0. The shutout in goal was recorded by senior Kyle Diffley. The varsity soccer team returns to the pitch on Saturday with an 11:45am home game vs. St. Dominic.
B Soccer beat John Burroughs 3-0. Goals were scored by Nick Gastreich, Luca Cirami, and Elian Dominguez. Henry Vest and Tyler Raback recorded assists. Nick VanDeman and Quinn Bader shared the shutout.

The Politics Club will have its first meeting of the year tomorrow during Encore in the Conference Room of the Leadership Center. For more information, see Andrew Chapman or Mr. Matreci.
Christopher Joseph led the Varsity and Freshman Calvin Curran led the JV cross country squads yesterday at the Fleet Feet Kickoff Classic at Parkway Central. Did you miss that race? You have another chance to catch the harriers tomorrow at Blackburn Park in Webster Groves beginning at 4:30 pm.
Any sophomores or juniors interested in travelling to Peru next summer, there will be an informational meeting this Thursday during Encore in room 106. If you cannot attend the meeting, see Mr Buehrle or Ms Palazzolo sometime this week.
Attention juniors and seniors: The first ACT prep course of the year will start on September 19, for students taking the October ACT. There are two classes starting on that date. The one starting right after school is now full. If you were hoping to take that class, you can email Mrs. Kheriaty to put you on the waitlist. The class starting at 6pm still has space. See Mr. Meyer in the counseling office for more information.
