Friday, September 1:

Sam Moore was the lone medalist on the day for the Griffin Harriers, pacing the Varsity to a 9th place finish at the bigger and badder Webster Invitational.  Luke Miller ran a very even race as he led the JV squad to a 9th place finish.

If you are a high school night speaker but NOT an Ambassador you need to see Coach Brown following announcements so that he can order your name tag for you.

The freshman football team lost a tough game to Edwardsville yesterday, but were about to find the endzone three times. Quarterback Tyler Lanzarini had a big day with three TD passes, one to Tony Hecht and two to Jack Bollinger. The Griffins get right back at it with a game at Marquette next Tuesday at 4:15pm.

The varsity soccer team tied Fort Zumwalt West 2-2 on goals from Tommy Geders and Jake Sansone. The soccer team will play St Xavier tonight at 6:15pm. This game will be played at SLUH.

The swim team defeated Rockwood Summit 94-74. Individual winners included Paul Hoffman in the 200 free and Logan Schafer in the 100 fly. Congrats to all of our swimmers.

Finally, Happy birthday today to senior, Troy Morton.  On Saturday senior, Tayvian Weary and sophomores, Jake Billhartz, Nathan Greunke and Daniel St. Louis will be celebrating their birthdays, while on Sunday senior Charles Springer and freshman Charlie Berra will be celebrating theirs and on Monday junior Michael Turner and freshman Antonio Hecht celebrate their day of birth.  We hope that you all have a great day on your special day.  Those are your pre-Labor Day weekend announcements.  Make good choices this weekend and make each day a great day to be  Griffin
