Attention juniors and seniors:  If you would like help studying for the October ACT, you should take the ACT course that begins on Tuesday. Average score improvement is about 4 points.  See Mr. Meyer in the counseling office for more information.

Attention all Senior National Honor Society Members:  Mandatory meeting on tuesday September 6th during encore in Room 302.  Any questions, please see Mr. Sargent.  We will also have a follow up meeting on Thursday September 8th.  

After school on Friday, September 9th, the Advancement office is looking for a few students to help set up for Grandparents Mass.  Any students interested in 1 ½ hours of service, please see Mr. Cerone or Mrs. Mueller in the Advancement office.

Attention all students that are interested in a career in a medical field.  The HOSA, Health Occupations Students of America, informational meeting today has been rescheduled for Tuesday during encore in room 107. Please see Mr. Touzinsky for more information.

Zach Layton and Pat Trani both medaled for the varsity cross country team leading them to a 9th place finish at yesterday’s Webster Cross Country Invitational.  Joe Mastis led the JV squad and Joe Galloway was the first freshman on a good day for running.

The first meeting of the year of the Vianney Investment club will be held Wednesday after school in room 310. See you there!

Bocce guys: the rosters will be finalized today at 3 pm. Please get your money to Mr. Kheriaty today to secure your spot.

The varsity soccer team defeated St Mary's 2-0 last night in the Clayton Soccer Shootout. Goals were scored by juniors Steven Bibas and Cameron Skaggs. Junior TJ Reigner recorded the shutout in goal. The Griffins will play Clayton this afternoon at 4:15 at Clayton

If you are planning on attending the Grandparents Mass on Sunday, Sept. 11th, consider volunteering to do a reading or assist in some way. See Fr. Tim or Mr. Remiger  if you would like to get involved. The day after Grandparents Mass is our next student body Mass. Again, we welcome volunteers.

Today is Eucharistic Adoration. Faculty members can sign up to take your class for a time of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament on line or to sign up privately. Students at Encore and lunch can make a visit. Adoration will take place in the Art Gallery. Just come by for a time of prayer.

The Griffins lost a tough meet to Rockwood Summit 95-74 yesterday.  Both Jake Gauvain and Sam Biffignani were double-winners---Jake with wins in the 200IM and 500 Free and Sam winning both the 50 and 100 Free.  The 400 Free Relay of Gauvain, Biffignani, Paul Hoffman and Drew Sandweg also won.  The Griffins Swimmers are back in the pool next Wednesday when they face off with John Burroughs.

Tonight Vianney football hosts Providence Catholic at THE HEEB! Tonight is Jersey night so get out to the game and support your Griffins

The freshman football team dropped their first game of the season  losing to Edwardsville 41-13. Jake miller scored both TDS for the Griffs. Next up vs Dubourg monday Sept 12th.
