Friday is a Dress-up day for everyone—shirt & tie, dress pants, dress shoes and belt required for everyone.


Lunch shift changes effective today: 

1.  All of Mr. Kheriaty’s classes will now eat at 1st lunch. 

2.  Mr. Mohr’s B and C period classes will now eat at 3rd lunch.


Attention juniors and seniors:  If you are planning on signing up for the first ACT course of the year, you need to turn in your registration form to Mr. Meyer in the counseling office by the end of lunch today.  After this time, the course will be completely full.  All other courses offered this year still have room, and you can sign up for those whenever you would like.


Sophomores! If you are interested in returning as a Griffin Guide or being a Griffin Guide for the first time, now is the time to become a Griffin Guide. This is a wonderful way for you to show our prospective students why it's so great being a Griffin. Guide yourself to the Admissions office and pick up an application today. They are due back to the Admissions office no later than tomorrow.


Planning on attending the Grandparents Mass & Luncheon on Sunday, please  your grandparents have turned in their reservation. The event is free of charge but reservations are required.


Eucharistic Ministers:  Any senior who wishes to witness his Catholic faith as a spiritual leader can apply to help us distribute communion at our masses. Please write your name down and a paragraph expressing your hope by Sept. 4th and submit to Fr. Tim.


Senior Kairos Retreats:  Seniors are asked to register on line for their senior retreat no later than next week on Sept. 4th. If you wish to apply to be a leader, please write your name down and a paragraph expressing your desire and reasons why and submit to either Fr. Tim or Mr. Remiger. 


All Juniors:  Juniors are asked to register on line for their Junior retreat. Please choose a date no later than Sept. 4th. If you have any questions see Fr. Tim or Mr. Remiger.


Juniors and Seniors:  All upperclassmen are asked to make a reservation for your retreat no later than Sept. 4. Please go on line and click campus ministry/retreats/and your particular retreat. Follow the directions. If you have any questions, please see either Mr. Remiger or Father Tim


Grandparents Mass:  Any student who will be attending the Grandparents Mass this Sunday and would like to participate in the Mass, please see Father Tim asap.


Sophomores who missed their retreat:  Any Sophomore who did not attend your retreat last week is asked to see Fr. Tim sometime today. 


“You hear about Pluto?”  “That’s messed up right?” Well one thing that is not messed up is ping pong club -and its back! Starting this Friday after school, Ping Pong Club will meet outside Mr. Kheriaty’s room, room 209. Don’t sign up; just show up.

Boom Slang!


On opening day for the varsity soccer team this past Saturday, the Soccer Griffs brought the offense with an 8-0 win over Mehlville. Goals were tallied by Eric Biras, Brandon Love, Hayden Sparrow, Adam Michel, Jack Gallo, Mike Albes, Matt  Schneider, and Ryan Somogye as 8 different players scored. All five varsity goalies shared in the shutout. The varsity team plays St Mary's this afternoon at 4:30 and Clayton on Friday at 6:15 in the Clayton Shootout. Both games will be played at Clayton High school.


Vianney B-team soccer started off their season with an 8-0 win over Mehlville on Saturday and a 3-2 win over Desmet yesterday. Yesterday's goals against Desmet were scored by John Antonocci, Austin Tapella, and Will Klages. 


The Griffin Cross Country team kicks off its season today at the Marianist Retreat Center with the Lt. Dan Riordan Memorial meet against Chaminade and St. Mary's. The race begins at 4:30.  Come out and cheer on the Griffin Harriers.  Runners are reminded to be ready for the one-way bus at 3:00 pm.


The Griffins Swimmers and Diver took down Oakville on Friday 117-54.  Double winners were Sr. Garrett Lipic and So. Nick Alexander.  Jr. Sam Tenter and Fr. Jake Gauvain were also individual winners.  The 200 Medley Relay of Alexander, Lipic, Dave Craft and Jeff Sandweg and the 400 Free Relay of Alexander, Lipic, Gauvian and Ben Dombrowski also took first.  Nick Alexander qualified for State in the 200 IM and the 100 Back as well as breaking his own school record in the 100 Back.

The Swim Team will work out here after school today.  All Swimmers should be in Room 107 by 2:50.


RACQUETBALL: Racquetball is BACK!!!! The Griffins return to the courts for the 2013-2014 season. All New and returning players need to attend an informational meeting this Friday (September 6th) at 2:45 in room 310 with Mr. Lewis#Rollout
