When prospective students and their families are flipping out as they try to navigate Vianney's admissions process, the calming voice on the other end of the phone is usually Monica Sabatino.
Monica is new to Vianney this year and takes over in our Admissions Office as the office assistant. But she’s no stranger to Vianney as she’s had two boys go through (Alex ‘13 and Jacob ‘16) and her son Nick is a sophomore.
Monica is a lifelong St. Louisan, having graduated from John F. Kennedy Catholic High School in west St. Louis County. She chose to attend the University of Kansas where she earned her BA in Psychology. She earned her masters in social work from Saint Louis University.
She is married to Mike Sabatino. They enjoy traveling with their sons and keeping up with their various activities.

1. WHAT IS ONE THING YOU WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT YOU BUT DON’T?
My tolerance for excessive tardiness is very low!
2. WHAT IS THE MOST DARING THING YOU’VE EVER DONE?
I sat in a tree stand 17 feet off the ground for four hours during deer season. I almost fell out of the stand while sleeping and had to avoid an attack by a freaky/frisky squirrel!
3. WHAT MOVIE OR BOOK HAS BEEN INSPIRATIONAL TO YOU?
When God Winks at You by Squire Rushell. It's about how the power of coincidence guides your life. Call them coincidences, but once you read this powerful book, you realize miracles - big and small - happen every day. We just have to be open to all the “God Winks” given to us every day.
4. IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD WHERE WOULD YOU GO?
I would go to Melbourne, Australia or Belize. Both if I am so lucky. I love warm, sunny weather with beautiful beaches. My time spent in the water is minimal, but I love the view!
5. WHAT IS THE STRANGEST THING YOU’VE EVER EATEN?
Alligator - yummy!
