The Griffin Swimmers competed in the Ladue Invitational on Saturday. As a team, the Griffins set over 20 individual and 4 personal-best times for the second time this season. Jr. Jake Gauvain led the way with a 3-medal effort--taking 2nd in the 500 Free, 7th in the 50 Free and 7th in the 25 Free Sprint. So. Sam Biffignani picked up the team's other medal with an 8th place finish in the 100 Backstroke. The Swimmers take on John Burroughs School Wednesday at 4:00pm at Burroughs."

Beginning next Tuesday, we will have college reps coming in to talk to any student interested in learning more about their school.
On Tuesday, UMSL and Washington University will be here and on Thursday, Rhodes College, University of Kansas and Truman State University will have a rep here.

Anyone interested in participating in this year's Close-Up trip to Washington DC this February needs to attend a meeting during encore on Thursday September 10 in room 402. Close-Up is designed to give students an inside look at their democracy in action. We will be coordinating the trip again this year with Cor Jesu. See Mr. Weber in room 402 for more information.

Zach Layton medaled for the Varsity, Nate Alexander medaled for the Freshman and Nate Eaton led the JV cross country squad yesterday to lead their teams at the Webster Groves.
Despite several outstanding efforts, the Griffins fell to Cape Central 108-62 on Tuesday afternoon. Jr. Jake Gauvain posted personal-best times in both the 50 Free and 100 Fly, taking second in both. Sr. Ben Greene also scored a personal-best time in the 100 Breaststroke, taking second. Sr. Nick Alexander took first in the 200 IM and the 100 Free--breaking his own school record in the 100 Free. Sr. Chris Raeber took first in the 100 breaststroke with a career-best time. The Swimmers compete in the Ladue Invitational on Saturday."
Our next annual grandparents mass will take place in two weeks on Sunday, September 13. If you are planning on attending, it would be great to involve you in the Mass. If you are interested in helping out, please see Fr. Tim

Chess intramurals begin next Tuesday, Sept 8. Any interested Griffins should see Mr. Petersen in room 208 for a schedule and sign up sheet. All levels of players are welcome!
Anyone interested in joining the Fantasy football club please sign up in the leadership center. Today IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN UP. Drafts will be held next week. Leagues will include both students and Faculty and Staff. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each league.

Seniors--federal law requires you to register with Selective Service (this is NOT a draft registration) when you turn 18. You will not be eligible for any federal financial aid for college is you do not register. You can do this here at school as well. See Mr. Matreci in room 500 for the form as well.
