In an epic Marianist clash the Freshman Soccer Team defeated Chaminade on Friday by the score of 5-3. Alex Kammien, Zach Dempsey, Nick Wiss, Jack Eppy, and Ryan Clavin scored the goals and Tom Marshall got the win in goal saving a penalty kick at a key point in the game.

The Griffin Swimmers and Divers turned in one of the best performances in Griffin Swimming & Diving history this past Saturday at the Ladue Invitational. Highlights for the Griffs were numerous, but none topped the team's 2nd Place finish in the field of 13 teams and our first swimming team award in decades, maybe ever, is now displayed proudly in the office. Notable performances included Vianney's first ever invitational double-winner, as Freshman Nick Alexander took 1st in both the 100 IM and the 100 Backstroke; the four Griffin divers took the top 4 places out of 17 divers as Alex Feicht, Brett Zavadil, Sam Trenter and Brad Burmeister completed the sweep in that order. Finally, the 400 Free Relay team of Sam Reynolds, Brendan Keller, Garrett Lipic and Nick Alexander shattered their own school record and qualified for the State meet with a time of 3:28.61. The Griffins face Saturday's first place team, John Burroughs, tomorrow at Burroughs at 4pm and then Kirkwood on Thursday at 4pm at Meramec Comm. College pool.
