Good morning GRIFFINS this is your VIANNEY DAILY!


"The Griffin Swimmers lost to John Burroughs 103-75, yesterday, in a meet which featured a number of close races.  Winners for the Griffins included Jr. Jake Gauvain in the 100 Fly and 200 IM and Sr. Nick Alexander in the 50 Free and 100 Backstroke.  Nick is now ranked #1 in the state in 3 of the 8 individual events.  As well, the 400 Free Relay of Alexander, Gauvain, and Seniors Ben Greene and Chris Raeber also took first.  The team is off for 12 days before they take on DeSmet."


Members of the National Honor Society  need to come by room 209\ before Wednesday to sign up for a time to help with the College Fair.




"There will be an Athletic Apostles meeting on Wednesday, September 16 at 8:00 a.m. in Room PE500. All Apostles should plan on being in attendance


Varsity soccer lost to SLUH yesterday 4-1. JV lost 3-1 to SLUH.  


The Freshman Black Soccer team defeated Eureka by the score of 6 - 0. The goals were scored by Brendan Dolan (2) Kobie Heier, Marty Thomas, Reilly Byrne and Joe Michel. The shutout was recorded by Grant Atwood and Tyler Harris.


The freshman football team dropped a heartbreaker to SLUH losing 7-6. The defense played well nearly the whole game. Tyler Moore scored the lone touchdown for the Griffins. Next up the Freshman play CBC next Monday for their first home game.


Today Rhodes College, University of Kansas and Truman State University will have a rep here. If you are interested in meeting with any of these schools, please sign up on Naviance or see  counselor.


Anyone interested in participating in this year's Close-Up trip to Washington DC this February needs to attend a meeting during encore on Thursday September 10 in room 402. Close-Up is designed to give students an inside look at their democracy in action. We will be coordinating the trip again this year with Cor Jesu. See Mr. Weber in room 402 for more information.

Our next annual grandparents mass will take place this Sunday, September 13. If you are planning on attending, it would be great to involve you in the Mass. If you are interested in helping out, please see Fr. Tim
