The varsity soccer team got back in the win column last night with a 3-1 victory over Gibault. Second half goals were scored by Ryan Murphy, Michael Albes, and Hayden Sparrow. Catch the varsity team tonight in their home opener on The Heeb vs. #3 Parkway Central at 7:00. Come out and support your soccer team!

The B-soccer team started this week the way they left-off last week with a 4-0 win over the Gibault Hawks. The Jr. Griffins started the game without five of their regular starters and lead at halftime thanks to another Brandon Love head-ball goal from an Anthony "AC" Christante's assisting cross. After the intermission and some minor adjustments the Jr. Griffins turned it up a notch and scored three more goals; Patrick Dolan on a PK, AC scored off a nice layoff from Lovie and Will Klages scored after Tim Lupo sacrificed himself to get Will the ball. Matt Bokamper got the shutout but the credit goes to the stingy team defense lead by Dominic Barczewski, Ryan Nelson, Brad Nelson and Mitchell Lammert.

The Freshman Soccer Team defeated Eureka yesterday by the score of 4-0. The goals were scored by Jonathan Giegling, Austin Tapella, Ryan Clavin, and Jonathan Antonacci with Tom Marshall and Colin Knox sharing the shutout.
