The Government & Politics Club will meet during Encore TODAY in room 500 to get organized for this year.  All are welcome to come check out the club.

There will be a meeting during encore Thursday for anyone interested in the Close Up trip to Washington DC in February with Cor Jesu Academy. Spend a week in Washington DC and see your government in action. See Mr. Weber in room 402 for more information.

Today, the swim team travels to Parkway North to compete at 415 pm. Good luck to our swimmers!

Anyone interested in playing lacrosse this spring there will be an INFORMATIONAL MEETING on Wednesday September 13th at 7:00 pm in the Griffin Cafe.  Any questions? See COACH STEIN in ROOM 404

In JV soccer action, the Griffins defeated Lindbergh 2-0. Zach Poelzl and and Joe Michel scored goals while Kyle Diffley earned the shutout in goal.

The freshman football team got their first win yesterday with a 19-14 win over Chaminade. Kannen Barcom ran for two scores and Tyler Lanzarini rushed for another as the the defense came up with a big 4th down stop to seal the victory.   

Anyone who is interested in baseball and would like to join the Wednesday afternoon conditioning, report to the track tomorrow after school  we will get going right around 3:00 PM

Chess Intramurals practice & competition begin Monday, September 18.  Registration is now open.  All students are invited to participate.  To register, see Mr. Matreci in room 500 either before school, during Encore, or immediately after school sometime this week.  Please note that chess is played in room 500 during Encore every day.

Today is the feast of the Holy Name of Mary, the patronal feast day for the Marianists, known as the Society of Mary. Let us pray for vocations to the Marianists, for the young men in Dayton, Ohio who have made the sacrifice to becomes novices and commit themselves to the journey of becoming a Marianist priest or brother.

There will be a simple Mass in the chapel this morning at the beginning of Encore. All are invited.

High school night speakers are to report to room PE5 immediately at the start of Encore for practice today

Griffin Theatre will hold auditions for the fall production of Arsenic and Old Lace tonight and Wednesday evenings at 7pm in room 503. No previous experience is required, just a desire to learn, work hard and have some fun. See Mr. Book for more details.
