Seniors accepted as Eucharistic Ministers:  Just a reminder that today at Encore as well as on Monday you have the option for training.

 

STUCO Spirit Week: Vianney GET EXCITED!!! next Week is Spirit Week. Here is the list of events for you to participate in:
Monday: Lumberjack Day + Dominos pizza at lunch offered
Tuesday: dress up day + ice cream offered at lunch
Wednesday: Floatation Device Day + Suburbs tenders offered
Thursday: Tacky Tourist Day + Ted Drewe's ice cream offered at lunch
Friday: Black and Gold Day + Jack in the Box tacos offered at lunch

 

Attention seniors, juniors and sophomores---mark your calendars for the Vianney College Fair on Thursday, September 19 from 7-8:30 pm.  Visit with over 130 college representatives.  Preregister at:  www.gotocollegefairs.com and print out your personal bar code to make your time at the fair more efficient!  See you there!

 

Homecoming forms are available in the Main Office and Gear Store.  Forms must be completed before tickets can be purchased.

 

RACQUETBALL: if you could not attend the racquetball meeting last week DON'T WORRY, just come by 310 to grab the info. All registration forms and payments are due by Friday! #ROLLOUT

 

Europe, June, 2014:  Our destination is set! We are traveling to England, France and Spain in June 2014. There will be a required meeting for all travelers and at least one parent on Monday, September 16 at 7:00 PM in room 408. See Mrs. Fullenkamp if you have any questions!

 

ANYONE interested in starting Vianney's first LITERARY & ART JOURNAL should attend an informational meeting Thursday September 19th during Encore in Room 302.  This is a great opportunity to place your creative stamp on the history of this school!

 

Are you interested in technology? Well then come on down to the Tech Room today after school for the year’s first tech club meeting. We’ll be figuring out the schedule for the rest of the year and you can come and have a say in what we do. Last year we disassembled computers and laptops to learn about the inside of what we use everyday.Our first meeting is this Friday after school in the Tech Room.

 

There will be a meeting for all members of the National Honor Society in room 105 today, September 13, during encore.  We will be discussing semester plans and holding elections for junior officers.  Anyone who cannot be there should see Mr. Redman in room 105 by Friday.

 

The list of those who are interested in going on the Close Up Trip to Washington, D.C. is growing.  If you missed the meeting but are still interested in going on this program, then come to room 102 to get more information.  We have until Oct. 12 to put a down payment on the trip so there is plenty of time before you have to make a final decision.. Students looking for service hour opportunities should see the New and Improved Campus Ministry Bulletin board. Service opportunities will be posted here throughout the school year. 

 

Bocce Club might not fill that emptiness in your life -but then again, it might. Come find out at encore on Tuesday in room 209. 

 

All students interested in helping with the school newspaper need to stop by room 201 for assignments sometime today.

 

Sophomores:  Any accepted Griffin Guide who was not at the training meeting on Wednesday MUST meet with Mr. Mulvihill in the Admissions Office during Encore today.

 

Mandatory Encore begins on Monday.  A period teachers will read those lists to classes on Monday morning.

 

The freshman football team fought hard at DeSmet yesterday but couldn't overcome some turnovers and big plays, losing 38-12 to the Spartans. TD's were scored on a James Schueler run and a Caleb Krull to Kevin Reilly pass. Up Next the Griffs will take on the Baby Bills at SLUH next Thursday. 

 

The varsity soccer team continued rolling in the CBC Tournament last night with a 3-1 victory over DeSmet. Goal scorers were Joey Delbert with 2 and Patrick Dolan with 1.  Dakota Thorwegan got the victory in goal.  Come out to support the soccer team Saturday night at 7:00 as they play for a CBC Tournament championship.
