Attention Freshmen: If you are interested in learning about the Vianney Prolife Club, please come to a meeting at encore on Monday in room 109. Upperclassmen, if you weren’t able to make the first Prolife Club meeting, come on by on Monday during encore to room 109. 

The Vianney Ping Pong Club believes that ““There may be people that have more talent than you, but there's no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do.” Ping Pong workouts will resume today in the Commons after school.  

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in participating in this year’s Close Up trip to Washington DC with Cor Jesu Academy today during encore in room 402. The Close Up program is a one-week intensive experience of government in our nation’s capital. Students meet members of the government and visit Washington’s famous monuments and museums. See Mr. Weber for more information.

The varsity soccer team beat St. Dominic’s 3-0 last night in the second round of the St. Dominic’s SuperCup.  Goal scorers were Will Dehner, Tommy Mataya, & Travis Kircher. John Allen earned the shutout in goal. The Varsity soccer team will play at 11am tomorrow vs. Oakville @ St. Dominic for a chance to be tournament champions. 

Bocce players---fees for the fall session need to be paid by today.  There are still 11 players who have not paid. Unpaid player will be removed from team rosters.  Also, if you switched roster spots with another player, mark the changes on the rosters and see Mr. Alexander with any questions.

The Government & Politics Club will meet in room 104 during Encore next Thursday, September 19.

Attention juniors and seniors:  The first ACT prep courses of the year will start on Wednesday.  If you’re taking the October ACT and want to take the course, you can sign up at any time.  See Mr. Meyer in the counseling office for more information, or email Mrs. Kheriaty directly.

Juniors and Seniors next week College Visits:  Wheaton College, University of Missouri, St. Louis, Bellarmine University, Miami University of Ohio, U.S. Coast Guard, St. Mary’s University and the University of Nebraska. Sign up through your Naviance account if you would like to attend one of these. Check with your counselor if you have questions. 

A reminder to all current and new National Honor Society members, there will be a meeting today during encore in room 106. All members must attend.

The temps were hot and so was the competition as the Griffin cross country continued its season yesterday at the Ladue Invitational. Calvin Curran led the varsity squad, John Wolf medaled for JV and Hayden Hunt medaled in his second meet of the year for the freshman. Next up, next Tuesday at the Lt. Dan Memorial and Marianist meet at the retreat center.
