Congratulations to Conor McEntee for coming up with the correct movie Revenge of the Nerds.  He received a $5 lunch card for his knowledge and HM goes to Drew Sandweg and Alex Canupp.  They knew the answer but were not faster than Conor.  They will receive a free ice cold refreshing fountain soda for their efforts.

All current members, those who have participated and those who are interested: There is a Student Foundation meeting on Monday during encore in the leadership center. The meeting is no longer today due to the assembly schedule.There will be donuts provided! If you do not wish to continue as a student foundation member then you need to see Mr. Traina immediately and let him know.

ALL CURRENT and POTENTIAL LACROSSE PLAYERS:  There will be an INFORMATIONAL MEETING for parents and players on Tuesday September 27th at 7:00 pm in the Griffin Cafe.

It’s finally here!  The Griffin cross country team will be tackling a the man maker tomorrow in the Paul Enke Invitational at Sioux Passage Park.  Racing begins at 9:00 am.  Voices will be deeper.

Several essay competitions with monetary prizes are beginning now.  Please see Mr. Mohr in room 304 for more information.

Griffin Theatre will be holding auditions for the fall production of Cyrano de Bergerac on Tuesday, September 20th and Wednesday, September 21st at 7pm in room 503.  Cyrano is a large ensemble show, so this is the perfect opportunity for you to try something new. See Mr. Book in room 503 if you have questions.

The Griffin Swimmers lost to Chaminade, yesterday,  118-61.  Jake Gauvain took first in the 200 Free while Adam Bockskopf was the winner in the 100 Breaststroke.  Second place finishers included Jake Gauvain, Sam Biffignani, Paul Hoffman and Andrew Chapman.  The team swims against DeSmet on Monday night at 6pm at Chaminade.

If you met with the rep from Missouri University of Science and Technology and did not receive an information packet, please stop by the Leadership to pick up a copy.

Practice for chess intramurals begins Monday, September 19 after school, and round one competition is scheduled for Thursday, September 22.  Registration is required.  See Mr. Kheriaty in room 109 either during encore or immediately after school for registration.

B Soccer tied SLUH 2-2.  Goals were scored by Colin Doherty and Kamou Harris.  Marty Thomas assisted on the first goal.
