Morning

The Government & Politics Club will meet in room 104 during Encore on Thursday, September 19.

There will be a baseball signup meeting this Wednesday morning or afternoon for all sophomores and freshmen who are interested in trying out this spring for Vianney Baseball.  You can either attend the session at 8:15 am in the Media Center or after school in Room 402. If you are not able to make either of those meeting please see Coach Brown in the Main Office for more information.

Attention Freshmen, you are invited to come learn about the Prolife Club today at encore. There are tons of ways to get involved and help build a culture that respects all human life from conception til natural death. We will meet at encore today in room 109. If any upperclassmen couldn’t make the last Prolife Club meeting, come by today as well. 

Sophomores this is a reminder that tomorrow is your class retreat. Please report to the Field House by 7:45. Also please leave your cell phones at home, or in your locker tomorrow so you can be totally focused on the retreat! 

There will be a fall athletic apostles meeting this Wednesday, September 18 at 8:15 in room 501. All fall apostles should plan on attending.

Attention juniors and seniors:  The first ACT courses of the year start this Wednesday.  If you’re taking the ACT in October and would like to join, it’s not too late to sign up.  See Mr. Meyer in the counseling office for more information, or email Mrs. Kheriaty directly.

Come watch the hockey team play Hamilton South East (from Indiana) at Kirkwood Ice Arena on Saturday night. The puck drops at 8:45PM. Hockey players from all teams must attend Mass in the chapel on Friday during Encore. Thank you.

You can play chess at encore today in room 209.  Chess Intramurals competition continues this week with round 3 scheduled for Thursday after classes.  Round 2 winners were Logan Kammerer and Nathan Waigand.

Afternoon

Freshman basketball workouts for non-fall-sports participants will continue today after school in the Field House.

This is a clarification to all Varsity Hockey players that tonight's practice, which begins at 8:40 pm at Affton is an Illinois Varsity Practice.

To all those who are planning on playing racquetball this year or interested in playing, the official meeting with the coaches will be this Thursday during Encore in room 106. If you cannot attend, stop by room 106 sometime this week.

All Griffin Guides who are not playing a Fall sport, we would love your help after school this Thursday for about 30 minutes.  Please come to the Admissions Center to sign up!

Any student interested and available in participating in tomorrow’s after school service project at TASK must contact Mr. Becvar by NOON tomorrow.  The service project will take place from 4:30-7:30 pm. Dinner will be provided.
