STUCO Spirit Week: Vianney GET EXCITED!!! THIS Week is Spirit Week. Here is the list of events for you to participate in:
Friday: Black and Gold Day + Jack in the Box tacos offered at lunch

 

Any faculty or students parked in the first three rows of the senior parking lot closest to Don Heeb field must move their vehicle immediately after school on Friday afternoon.  Vehicles not moved will be ticketed.  

 

National Honor Society members helping set up the college fair tonight are reminded to be in the fieldhouse and ready to go by 2:50.  Those who are helping take down the fair should gather at the back of the fieldhouse by 8:20 and be ready to start promptly as soon as the fair ends.

Attention seniors, juniors and sophomores---the Vianney College Fair is tonight from 7-8:30 pm.  

 

ANYONE interested in starting Vianney's first LITERARY & ART JOURNAL should attend an informational meeting today during Encore in Room 302.  This is a great opportunity to place your creative stamp on the history of this school!

 

The Scramblers will have meetings all week during Encore in Room 110 beginning Monday, September 16th through Friday, September 20th to plan for the Spirit Week Pep Rally.  Thank you!

 

Students who ordered pictures to be picked up at school can pick them up after school in the Main Office.  Students who only had pictures taken for the yearbook can also pick up their ID cards in the Main Office after school.

 

Season athletic passes are on sale in the Griffin Gear Store for $25.00. 

 

Attention juniors and seniors:  Washington University is hosting Mini-Medical School, an evening program for students considering medicine as a profession.  The first session begins next week. See your counselor in the Leadership Center for more details.

 

Senior Kairos Lists:  The Kairos retreat lists are now posted on the Campus Ministry Bulletin Board. If your name is not on the list or you have a particular concern, please see Fr. Tim.

 

Attention all members of the Spanish Honor Society--there is a mandatory meeting of the Society on Monday, September 23 during Encore in room 408. We will nominate for officers, discuss Hats On Day, which is next week, and talk about induction. See Mrs. Fullenkamp for information.

 

National Honor Society members need to sign up to help with set-up or tear-down for the Vianney College Fair tonight.  If you need to sign up, or have forgotten what you signed up for, check the list in room 105.  

 

Attention seniors:  Is a parent, grandparent, or great grandparent a military veteran?  You may be eligible for a scholarship from the American Legion.  Check out the qualifications for the different American Legion scholarships on the scholarship list of the colleges tab of Family Connection.  See your counselor in the Leadership Center for more information.

 

Junior Retreats:  All Juniors are encouraged to check out the retreat lists that have been posted on the campus ministry bulletin board. If your name is not listed or you have a concern, please see Fr. Tim.

 

Tech Club meets this Friday after school.  Leaders will be elected and activities set for the semester.  We’ll start around 2:45.

 

The Freshmen Soccer Team improved its  record  to 6 - 2 yesterday by defeating Pattonville 3 - 0. Dennys Vasquez , Connor Mallet and Nick Kellar all scored for the Griffins and Conner Grzovic recorded the shutout.

Meeting of the Football Captains/Spiritual Leaders: The captains and athletic apostles for the varsity and j.v. football team will meet with Fr. Tim today at the beginning of Encore for their weekly meeting. 

 

Cultural Leadership is a year long educational leadership program open to sophomores and juniors who are curious, courageous teens who have a passion for justice and equality, an interest in other cultures and leadership potential.  See your counselor in the Leadership Center for an application.

The Swim Team is back in action today vs. Kirkwood.  The meet is at 4pm at the Meremec Comm. College Pool.  Stop by and cheer on the team as they go after their first-ever victory over the Pioneers.
