Joey Nelson led the varsity, Nate Alexander led the freshman, and Zach Layton, Pat Trani, and Sam Moore all medaled for the JV leading them to a 5th place finish at the Paul Enke Hazelwood Central cross country invitational this past weekend.  Everybody's voice is a little lower after taming the Manmaker.  Next up is the historic Hancock Invitational this Saturday at Jefferson Barracks Park.

 

CHESS INTRAMURALS CONTINUE THIS WEEK.  PRACTICES ARE SCHEDULED MONDAY, TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY AFTERSCHOOL IN ROOM 208,AND ROUND THREE COMPETITION IS SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY.  NEW PLAYERS ARE WELCOME.  ROUND TWO WINNERS WERE JACOB FARRELL, MARSHALL HARNEY, GAGE KRAMER, JOE RAIDT, JOHN BRENNAN, ERIC KAISER AND GAVIN HENSEL.

Attention robotics club members:  this is a reminder that there will be a robotics workshop this Saturday at Flo Valley community college.   Topics will include best practices in building the robot, tips on what the judges like to see at the qualification matches, and the new android-based programming platform.   Please see Mr. Prost for more information

A Pre-Fall Ball Goals Meeting will be held on Mon. Sept. 21 in ROOM 308. Individual Meeting Times will occur from 4:30 to 6:30. There is a meeting sign up sheet on Coach Stein's door (ROOM 308) Pizzas will arrive at 6:30 and there will be a FULL PROGRAM meeting at 6:30.

 

Any senior NHS member who missed Friday's meeting needs to come to room 209 to get the information and sign up for tutoring.

Juniors and Seniors--The registration deadline for the October 24 ACT is this Friday, September 18 at midnight. Go to:  actstudent.org or access the ACT site through Naviance Family Connection.  See your counselor in the Leadership Center if you have questions.

 

This is a reminder for all Sophomores who are interesting in taking the PSAT in Oct, that you need to register by TODAY September 21st. Please come to the Leadership Center and sign up on the clipboard. There will be no late registrations allowed.

 

Homecoming is HERE! Sign ups for the homecoming dance are online this year. Pick up the instructions from the Main Office, The Gear Store, or from Mr. Lewis in Room 310. Sign ups are due by September 24th!

After school tutoring sessions with our FREE  tutor, Mrs. KILPER is available TODAY and Wednesday, everyone is welcomed.  Be sure to see her if you need help in any subject.

 

Attention JUNIORS:  The Archdiocese of St. Louis is sponsoring the Annual Catholic Appeal Essay contest. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity to earn scholarship money, see Mrs. Mitchell in 104.   The deadline for the contest is rapidly approaching. Don't delay!

 

Junior Achievement would like to extend an invitation to high school students to participate in a very unique and rewarding opportunity.  Through this in-depth, leadership and entrepreneurship program, students gain real-world business experience by working in teams of 15 to 20 to manage their own small business.  Hosted and advised by top companies across the Metro St. Louis area, students gain insight around larger concepts, such as market research, business leadership, financial management, valuable communication skills and 21st century technology.  If you are interested in developing the skills and knowledge that will set you apart when competing for scholarships, college acceptance and eventually a spot in the global marketplace, the new JA Company Program is for you.
