Chess intramurals round one competition is scheduled for today in room 109 immediately after school in room 109.  Competitors must check in by 2:50, and competition begins at 3:00.

ALL CURRENT and POTENTIAL LACROSSE PLAYERS: There will be an INFORMATIONAL MEETING for all players and parents on TUESDAY SEPT. 27th at 7:00 pm in the Griffin Cafe. Questions? See Coach Stein in Room 404.

Reminder that the sophomore and Juniors will have their class meeting in the Activity Center this morning during Encore.

Reminder for ALL Ambassadors that tonight is mandatory participation at High School night unless you have already spoken with Coach Brown or if you are part of the varsity soccer team.  Food will be here by 5:30 pm and we will have this in Room 208 along with your ties and name tags.  You must be ready for your assignments by 6:00 pm.  Any faculty who is a part of tonight’s event are welcome to join us in Guido’s Pizza in Room 208 as well.

ALL Ambassadors who are working the Speaker Series tomorrow will meet with Coach Brown outside the Activity Center at 9:30 am this morning to go over your duties for tomorrow.  Please do not be late so that we can finish by the end of Encore

The Vianney Racquetball team looks to continue their winning tradition this season with the first meeting of the year. Please see Mr. Lewis for the meeting in room 310 after school today.

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in the Close-Up trip to Washington DC with Cor Jesu in February during encore today in room 402. Deadline to sign up is October 1. See Mr. Weber for more information or if you cannot attend.

The Griffin Swimmers won 9 of 11 events while defeating Affton 115-49 yesterday.  Jake Gauvain won both the 200IM and the 100 Free while Sam Biffignani won the 50 and 100 Free.  Drew Sandweg was a winner in the 200 Free as was Paul Hoffman in the 500 Free.  Freshman Logan Schafer got his first win in the 100 Fly.  The 200 Medley Relay of Gauvain, Hoffman, Biffignani and Freshman Dylan Nguyen took first as did the 400 Free Relay of Gauvain, Hoffman, Sandweg and Biffignani.  The team takes on MCC rival CBC Monday night at 6pm at Chaminade.

Birthday’s today and over the weekend: Happy Birthday today to Sophomores Michael Reiter, Kam Sengheiser and Alex Whalen.  These students will be celebrating birthdays over the weekend: On Friday, Freshman Jack Allgeyer and Junior, Dominic Moro; on Saturday Junior Alex Welborn and on Sunday, Junior Kai Panthiere.  We hope that ALL of you have a great day on your special day
