The Vianney Letterman’s Club is pleased to announce the Athlete of the Month for August.  Sam Biffignani has distinguished himself as a true leader in the swimming pool.  More than that, Sam exhibits the characteristics that make him a great representative of our school.  Congratulations Sam!  Coach Hoge has your plaque.

The Vianney Football Team is holding our 4th annual “Friends of Kids with Cancer” Toy Drive this week.  The toy drive is aimed at helping children and their families get through the treatments and long hours at the hospital.  The toy drive will end this Friday, Sept 29th.

Although this is a Toy Drive, you are able to bring in the following items:

-          New Toys – the toys must be new and unopened.  Toys and stuffed animals of all kinds are welcomed.

-          Restaurant Gift Cards – Since hospital food can become very repetitive after a while, a gift card to a restaurant would spruce up the family’s spirit as they are staying in the hospital with their child.

-          Gas Gift Cards – Many children and their families come from out of town to receive treatments and sometimes have little or no money to pay for gas.

We are asking the faculty, staff, and entire student body of Saint John Vianney High School to donate on Thursday September 28th.  Thursday will be a dress down day for those who participate!  The Vianney administration has asked that each person donates a toy or at-least $2.00 to participate.

We have the ability to help and touch the lives of so many people this week, so let’s make this an even bigger success this year than last year!
