Juniors and Seniors: Registration for Junior and Senior retreat opportunities are now open for registration on the Vianney website. There are multiple retreat opportunities available to you, including Kairos for seniors and the traditional Junior retreat. Cardboard Village in November, the March for Life in Washington D.C at the end of January, the Lenten Retreat in March, and the Service Immersion trip to Chicago next month can all be used as your required retreat for the year. Registration and more information on these retreat opportunities is also available on the website. Registration for all Junior and Seniors needs to be completed by Friday, October 12th. The links for registration can be found on the Retreat Program page under the Faith Formation section of Vianney's website. If you have any questions please visit Mr. Remiger in the Campus Ministry office.

College Reps -- check the monitor outside the Main Office for college reps on campus. You can sign up for visits online or in the Leadership Center at least a day in advance, please.

 

 

There will be a meeting for all members of the National Honor Society today in room 105 during encore. This is required, as we will be assigning duties for the Academic Decathlon.

The Ping Pong Club will meet in the 200 hallway on Tuesday and Friday, eat pizza and play Ping Pong.

The 2013 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest is open to students in grades 9-12. A 1000 word or less essay is required demonstrating an understanding of political courage as described by President Kennedy in Profiles in Courage. More information is available on the Guidance bulletin board or in the Update section of Naviance Family Connection.

All: Griffin LIFE will meet this Wednesday from 5:30-7:30. Our topic will be Pro-Life issues, so if you care about justice for all people, please come out!

The Griffins Swimmers and Divers opened their 2012 conference schedule in style with a 103-82 victory over CBC yesterday at Chaminade, winning seven of the twelve events. Winners for Vianney included Nick Alexander in the 200 IM and 100 Back, Sam Reynolds in the 50 and 100 Free, Alex Feicht in diving, Garrett Lipic in the 100 Fly and the 400 Free Relay team of Reynolds, Lipic, Alexander and Brendan Keller. Next up for the Swimmers and Divers is the Rockwood Summit Invitational on Wednesday and Thursday. The team looks to improve on last year's 4th place tie with Eureka.

B-soccer got back on track last night with a 1-0 victory over Eureka in the Summit JV Tournament. Pat Dolan scored the lone goal-unassisted and Dakota Thorwegen got credit for the shutout with some assistance from Ryan Behnen, Brad Nelson, Sean Michel, Ryan Nelson, Mitch Lammert & Dominic Barczewski.

Eddie Albarran and Jimmy Broyles helped make the long trip to Camdenton worth while as both medaled in the Laker Cross Country Invitational. All but one runner set a season best on the fast course. Drake Cantu led the way for the JV squad at the Priory Invitational while Joey Nelson grabbed 11th place to lead the Griffs in the Freshman division. This Saturday is the conference championships in Forest Park.

ALL LACROSSE PLAYERS and those interested in lacrosse: There will be a PARENT/PLAYER meeting on Tuesday October 9th at 7:00 pm in the Griffin Café. This meeting is for interested players Freshmen through Seniors. Questions? See Coach Stein.
