Tuesday is picture retake day.  Anyone—student, faculty or staff member—who has not had his/her picture taken  for the yearbook this year, must have pictures taken Tuesday morning.  Several seniors must also have pictures taken for the yearbook and class composite and were contacted by Mr. Matreci.  Students who wish to order packets can pick up the order form and price list in the office.  If you are having pictures re-taken,  you must return the entire original packet to the photographer.  They will begin photographing at 7:30 and will only be here about an hour.

There will be a meeting for all members of the National Honor Society TODAY, October 3, during encore, to finalize plans for the Academic Decathlon.  Everyone needs to be there-- the Decathlon is this Monday.

Attention juniors and seniors: if you have already taken the ACT course and would like to return before taking the October ACT, Mrs. Kheriaty is opening up additional evenings of review since the course is completely full. They will start this Thursday from 6-8, and continue for the next two weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you would like to participate, make sure to email her and let her know you will be coming.
Unless you are signed up, please do not come to the regular course. It is full and there will not be a spot for you. Instead, you may attend these extra classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

It was a great team effort as the Griffins topped Westminster, winning eight of the twelve events. First place finishers included Garrett Lipic (200IM and 100 Free), Sam Trenter (Diving), Jake Gauvain (500 Free) and Nick Alexander (100 Back and 100 Free). Nick also set a new school record in the 100 Fly with his State qualifying time of 53.66. That is the 7th event for which he has qualified this season.  The team is back in action Monday vs. CBC at 6pm at Chaminade.

This is a reminder that if you did not attend the baseball meeting last Thursday there will be the makeup meeting to night at 6:00 pm in the Griffin Cafe. Please make every effort to attend this meeting if you missed the first one.  The player and one parent must attend.

The Freshman Soccer Team played a hard fought match against Chaminade yesterday  and came away with a 1 - 0 victory. They are presently 9 - 3 on the season, the lone goal was scored by Tommy Fey and the shutout was recorded by Connor Grzovic.
