Reminder to all Sophomores that you have your monthly class meeting in the field house this morning at the start of Encore.  Remember that class meetings trump any other meeting you may have.  

Congratulations to swimmer Logan Schafer for qualifying for state in the 50 free with a time of 22.42 over the weekend! He is currently ranked tenth in state!!

Ryan Russell please see Mr. Matreci at Encore this morning in the field  house before the sophomore class meeting.

Seniors--we are looking for 12 to 15 volunteers to help with your Lock-In Trivia Night this Saturday.  The trivia night funds a significant part of your after-graduation all-night party and people are more generous when you guys are helping by working at trivia night.  If you can spend 5 hours on October 12 to help us, please see Mr. Matreci in the Leadership Center. Also, Ambassadors who volunteered for that night, please also see Mr. Matreci at some point next week.

The following students need to come to room 209 at the beginning of encore for a brief Science Honor Society meeting:

All juniors attending tomorrow’s junior retreat must attend a brief mandatory meeting in the Activity Center.

Tomorrow night is Griffin LIFE night. Hear juniors Luke Picha and Will Sinak’s powerful personal testimonies. Make new friendships and deepen old ones. We meet in the Marianist Art Gallery tomorrow from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Attention juniors and seniors:  If you’d like to take the ACT prep course before the December ACT, it will start on October 24.  Please see Mr. Meyer in the counseling office for more information, or email Mrs. Kheriaty directly.

Nolan Worley led the varsity Griffin Harriers Saturday at the Notre Dame Invitational. Calvin Curran finished one place behind pacing the team to a 10th place finish. John Wolf led the JV team, with Jake Kellar and Evan Pozzo finishing within one place of each other to help their team to a 9th place finish. Almost half the runners had season or career best times. MCC Championships next up on Thursday.

You can play chess at encore today in room 209.  Chess Intramurals competition continues this week with round 6 competition Thursday after classes.  Round 5 winners were Logan Kammerer and Alex Shaffer.

If you accidentally picked up a blue sport coat with a white rose attached at homecoming dance Saturday night, please see Mrs. Hackett in the commons.  Also, she has a blue sport coat with a pink rose on her desk if you are missing it. 

If you accidentally picked up a stack of papers from the Cafe this morning please return to the main office.

This is a reminder that math tutoring is available after school on Mondays and Thursdays in room 208 for any student who needs help with math.

Fall basketball workouts for those freshmen not involved in a fall sport continue today after school in the Field House.

Any one interested in joining Scholar Bowl, there will be a meeting in room 310 during encore on Tuesday. Talk to Mr. Taylor if you have any questions. 

Griffin LIFE is on a new day this week! We will meet tomorrow instead of Thursday. Our theme is “Walking on Water”.
